Guys,
We already know that the new norms of cibil reporting comes into place w.e.f 1 Jan 2025.
As per the new rules ,the banks and other financial institutions should report outstanding balances of loans and credit card accounts atleast every fortnight. In this regard some banks adopted fortnightly and some adopted weekly reporting.
Let's collate the list of various banks with their frequency of reporting here in this thread..
The following is the list of Banks with their respective frequency and reporting dates in a month:
We will add more banks to this list as and when the information is available...

Weekly ( Four times, a month)
  1. HDFC
    • 7th
    • 15th
    • 22nd
    • 30/31st ( ie month end)

Fortnightly ( Two times, a month )
  1. Statement Date and Statement Date + 15 days
    • Amex

  2. 15th and month end ( 30/31)
    • Axis
    • BOB Cards
    • Yes Bank

Means, axis decided to report twice a month month middle and month end..ie exactly following RBI’s guidelines of atleast fortnightly
Thanks. That day, they reported at the end of the month but it was showing 15th as date and the balance was also of 15th.
Now, they have reported again and the date shown is 31st and balance is of 31st.

Its clear now. Thanks!

Correct, this is exactly supposed to happen and it is happening now.. All Banks must follow this from now on-wards.. By the end of Jan 2025 we will know about all other banks..

Score is topsy turvy... I don't think CIBIL is ready for this.. They are struggling.. Score is all wonky... Crazy times until it settles especially if you are looking for credit.. I was looking for HL.. score fell with 1 enquiry.. i have actually stopped exploring.. Will think of alternatives for next 2-3 months.. @SSV You will need to update the cibil master thread soon once we understand what the hell they are upto.. Experian already tweaked few months ago and scores dropped for all.. Now it is CIBIL time
Absolutely! Because of the new rule implementation, if you've outstanding balance, however small it is, the score is dropping and once its paid, its recovering.

Until we figure out the frequency and the dates each bank report, its going to be highly unstable!

Do banks consider the score they get when they enquire or the score after enquiry is done? I have read couple of times on the forum that the score is dropping significantly after HL enquiry.

Thoughts on this?

ICICI will be interesting case they are laziest when it comes to reporting

@SSV ICICI is still lazy with reporting. Last reported in November. Have sent a mail to RBI keeping icici mails in CC. I had done transactions in December and did get the bill for it. Through the bill generated in negative as I had paid more than I had spent.

Bob & idfc are on same train, no update since November end.

Okay, HDFC reported again on 07/01/ 2025..

So we can conclude that HDFc reports on the following dates.of the month. Please react to this post if you observed the
same pattern..
HDFC reporting dates:
07, 15, 22 and 30/31st of the month..
4 times a month for HDFC, it is...
Once confirmed by majority of us, I will update the dates for HDFC in the first post..

I think currently they report only if there’re any transactions done in a cycle. Else they don’t report. Let’s see when they adopt to new rules.
thats true for all banks but ICICI updates more than a month late report date will be back date but they update late to cibil

Yes, this is very true until now..
but I strongly believe they will report it frequently and without any delay from now on..
