if u r trying to get cashback by paying cc bills thru hdfc billpay then you won't get it. better try other platforms. though about ur question about axis cc in hdfc bill pay, u need to re-add the card again and wait for 24 hours.

Just paid a few Credit Card bills to max out the 1% upto 750 on my DCs. Soon after I realized the merchant name popping up for these transactions is “RENTALBBPSNO” from the usual HDFCBILLPAY. Has HDFC finally caught up with us? Is this the beginning of the end?

Takeaway: Once the billers moved to BBPS everyone is getting RPs on every biller. Keep in mind while BBPSBILLPAY & HDFCBILLPAY is RP eligible while RENTALBBPSNO is not.
