I made 100 RS bill payment to Aubank and got as BBPSBILLPAY and then again tested 100 rs for Amex card and got as HDFCBILLPAY

Don't worry. Merchant name won't matter in any case. MCC will matter.

Seems like RENTALBBPSNO means it's not a rental bbps payment. 🤣 Iske coder ko pakdo jaa ke koi. It will be problem when we get RENTALBBPSYES as Merchant Name.

Now, my suspicion is it is a technical issue..

and we will get our RPs irrestive of what is shown here.. in my view..

To improve our experience they did upgrade and descriptions are random now. Bug or feature 🤣.
Regardless we'll know on 1st week of next month

I paid 50K bill for SBI CC on 23rd July....got description as RENTALBBPSNO, and no RPs on HDFC Platinum DC!! 🙁

So still the confusion going on about the Rp ?
Anyways I have done 15K transaction on 24th July for my Airtel Axis Card and get same RENTALBBPSNO and on netbanking the transaction description says POS 416021XXXXXXXX3221 RENTALBBPSNO.

Let's wait till monday to confirm the RP being credited or not.
