Not able to pay in IRCTC with Rupay UPI

Hi Team,

This is my first post. Recently I tried booking train tickets on IRCTC website and decided to pay using UPI with my Tata neu Rupay card. however i'm getting error message such that can't use overdraft account for this merchant. does anyone know the reason for such error.

I was able to pay with my tata neu card. but had to pay the extra 10rs comission to IRCTC since I needed the ticket anyway. I just thought i would be able to pay using the upi option by paying 10rs less.

yes, It was working sometime back, I also booked couple of tickets, but when I try last week it was not working.

But they suppose to change this if the transaction is less than 2000.

Yesterday same situation for me. Payment getting declined at UPI payment app. I tried multiple payment gateways (IRCTC, Razorpay, Paytm) they didn't work but PayU payment gateway worked!!!

I think they stop accepting rupay credit card upi

But, they suppose to accept less than 2000 as there is no MDR, we should raise concern on this, but where ?

as of now there is no mdr on rupay cc upi payments but banks are lossing money here so they try to block these payments maybne

Bro come to senses first.
Even though I agree railways should be privatized govt would never do it because poor people won't be able to afford it and that is the backbone for poor people's travel.
Pay the surcharge or pay through bank account simple

I'm not talking of privatization. And not of Railways. I'm talking of breaking monopoly. And about IRCTC.

IRCTC is a monopoly. And it's not even properly in the government's control.

This looks like the script of the petroleum oligopoly simultaneously draining the consumers and the government waiting to happen all over again. Only it'll be much worse, as it's a monopoly.

This is where you are wrong.
One irctc is managed by Indian railways.
Second if petrol was a private monopoly they wouldn't have danced to the governments tunes where oil prices when high due to the war.
Indian omcs took 10-15k crs of loss when there was a prize freeze

They didn't take any loss. They only agreed to take all their "under-recoveries" (NOT losses) from the government in form of "oil bonds".

RuPay CC link UPI - Free transaction under Rs2000 is only for small merchants.

Do you think IRCTC is small merchant ? 🤣🤣

Medium and Big merchants CC link UPI MDR is already started. However, it will take upto 2 years to fully live credit on UPI network.
