Not able to pay in IRCTC with Rupay UPI

Hi Team,

This is my first post. Recently I tried booking train tickets on IRCTC website and decided to pay using UPI with my Tata neu Rupay card. however i'm getting error message such that can't use overdraft account for this merchant. does anyone know the reason for such error.

I heard working through razorpay gateway.

I just tried through PayU gateway and was able to pay using Tata Neu credit card through BHIM app.

i stopped trying. mostly paying through smart buy since i get 5% cashback on all train tickets

Surprisingly, today I successfully booked tickets amounting above 1k on IRCTC using Rupay UPI card as a UPI payment method through PhonePe gateway. But as far as I could recall, even on Dec 2024 the transaction got declined when I tried to book a ticket of Rs. 200.
