Online Gold Purchase Plan

Yes. You can pay directly using AMEX CC but you will only get the base rewards/ MS benefits and not accelerated rewards using Rewards Multiplier
Planning for a 40k/month installment, don't think Amex allows Apay vouchers of 40k for Amex plat travel, i think limit is 10k for Apay vouchers right . So thinking to pay with AMEX CC instead ! you can suggest me if there is any other effective way 🙂

Get add-ons for AMEX PT and buy APV for 40K per month.

Just to clarify since there are multiple questions.

1. Amazon pay balance works for monthly installment payments
2. Always prefer Gold Glow scheme i.e the weight based scheme
3. Your first installment would be at the physical store
4. You can use your amex card to pay even for the first installment. Malabar doesn't charge any fees , atleast for me I haven't seen any charges tagged on.
5. The scheme is already a great discount, so don't expect more discounts on top
6. Amex card can be directly used on the malabar app and it fetches base reward and is also counted towards milestone rewards.
7. No , Malabar doesn't pay for the 12th month , grt and tanisq does it I think but need to confirm.
8. Do not purchase Malabar gold vouchers from amex gyftr, it doesn't work for scheme payments.

Cleared most of the doubts. Just one thing remaining, that is to check with the Salesperson if anything changed in the plan, otherwise it looks very attractive.

Excellent Summary. this will clarify most of the Q's.

I am currently getting the Amazn GV using SBI CB card. Is there any better way to get the Amazn GVs.
I dont hold AMEX or any HDFC premier cards. My annual CC expenses would be 4-5 lakhs. Pls suggest which card I can get to get better benefits.

1. For first installment is it possible to pay via Amazon Pay or need to give Cash or CC in shop?
2. What is the MCC while using card in Malabar app
3. I have Swiggy CC whats the best way to purchase Amazon Pay voucher using it

1. First payment you need to pay using cash or card. ( ICICI Amazon card gives 1% CB or tataneu infinity 1.5% neucoins).
2. They use Razorpay - Must be Gold Jewelery MCC.
3. Buy from Amazon.

make it 2 schemes, 10K one + 30k one. pay one with AP bought using Amex and the other one using Amex CC. I do that for my scheme.

- Malabar Diamonds GV - For purchasing Diamond jewellery (not applicable for gold jewellery or gold coins)
- Malabar Jewelry GV - For purchasing Gold jewellery (not applicable for gold coins)
Both the above GV cannot be used for Gold Purchase Schemes.
