Pan Aadhar Name Mismatch

While I apply PNB Card ( online ) it showing my PAN amd Adhar Name was mismatch and so that i cant apply . My Adhar Name is Santhosh S and on PAN Card name was Santhosh Shiva . Shiva my father name .

In south India especially Tamil nadu and Kerala . Our last name mostly single alphabet. what can we do for this ? any way to keep pan last name as "S" only .

You can apply for a change in Pan Card based on your Aadhaar details. New Pan card with Full name would be issued and sent to your address. If all your other documents are with Santosh S instead of Santosh Shiva, then I think changing name in Aadhaar would be a good option. Since this is a minor correction, it could be completed online provided you have valid ID documents with name Santosh S, iirc Pan card could be used here.

please provide the process . I used NSDL website for correct but it showing last name cant be Single letter

In the screenshot you have attached above you have not selected change or correction option. If you select apply for new pan it wouldn't let you enter single letter as last name.

But if you select change or correct request it will allow you to enter a single letter.

If anyone with single letter last name want to apply for a new PAN they should first generate e-PAN using income tax website then apply for correction on NSDL to get the printed version with father name.

Me from Kerala facing same.
In many bank or credit State menta my name is written as my house name.
Updated adhaar with full and correct details, visited nsdl office given PAN correction form,
It needed a form to be filled and attested by gazatted officer and his identity card.
Unfortunately only my photo changed and name written in card,
All others still old
The main issue is in tamilnadu and Kerala people don't know their surname middle name and last name which is to be given.
Try to visit nsdl branch.
NOTE: You first update your adhaar as early as possible with correct details, then after one month search for biometric PAN validation available in any of the NSDL office in your area. Then so a PAN correction with adhaar biometric application . It will automatically fetch the adhaar data and your PAN WILL BE WITH ADHAR DETAILS.in Kerala i didn't find any biometric PAN equipped nsdl office.
ALSO PLEASE DON'T UPDATE ADHAAR WITH PAN DETAILS, AA OUR ALL OTHER DETAILS LIKE SCHOOL LEAVING CERTIFICATE, OUR QUALIFICATION CERTIFICATE ,RATION CARD,VOTERS ID CARD, ETC are in same like adhaar

I am also from South India. I have started using my Fathers name as Last name or surname. Saves a lot of headache both domestically and internationally.

Visit neaby cybercafe and tell them the issue they will do the rest docs needed is adhar card and 2 photo and signature on the form that's it and is hardly take 7 working days and fee is around 150-200 not more than 200.

Update Aadhar either offline or online. Beware, there is lifetime limit on number of times name can be changed in Aadhar. So read up on those as well as what the name you want to go with hence forth in all documentation, and then do the update. Once Aadhar is updated, you can change all other documents using that, if there is a name mismatch.

BTW, how did you link the PAN and Aadhar card? They were being strict with Name and Date of Birth match while I was trying to link for my parents.
