Are you paying your credit card bill via 3rd party app or directly from your bank portal? then you are probably losing 1% cashback.
If you pay your credit card bill via HDFC Bank bill payment portal using your HDFC Bank debit card then you can earn 1% cashback, maximum Cashback capping depends on your debit card type.
Maximum Cashback Capping-
If you have HDFC Easyshop Platinum debit card then you can earn 1% upto Rs. 750 per month, just pay Rs. 75,000 bill & get Rs. 750 cashback.
If you have HDFC Millennia debit card then you can earn 1% upto Rs. 400 per month, just pay Rs. 40,000 bill & get Rs. 400 cashback.

Not only credit card bill, you can pay any utility bill you want (must be available on Hdfc bank bill payment portal) & get 1% cashback.

To Pay Bill Follow These Steps-
1. Login to your HDFC Bank Netbaning
2. Click on "BillPay & Recharge" tab -> Click on Continue



3. Now click on Add Biller
4. Select Credit Card
5. Now select your card provider name



6. Enter your credit card detail
7. Enter amount you want to pay
8. Select your debit card from drop down menu
9. Click on pay



10. Enter OTP & Done!

You'll receive 1% Cashback for the transaction, you can check & redeem your debit card Cashback from "Card Tab -> Debit Card -> Enquiry -> Cashback Enquiry & Redemption"

Same happened last month. And people didn't get the cashback. Wait for proper merchant name.

How long does it take usually for you guys when you use this method for ICICI cards ?



For axis and SBI it used to happen within a day. It's my first time doing payment for ICICI, it's still not credited after a day and due date is approaching soon

If it has been done through HDFC bill pay then T + 3 days excluding Sat & Sunday.
If with Mobikwik it got credited instant. Some time it takes T + 3 days excluding Sat & Sunday.

NOTE : SBI, KOTAK, AMEX for me it is instant always.

This lack of points refers to only using the HDFC Platinum Debit card on Mobikwik right? Another thread said that "Merchant" got them points on IDFC DC so the MCC could be related to utility still for HDFC?

You won't get cashback on this payment. Mobikwik has patched Utility MCC and now it won't be counted for cashback via HDFC Platinum DC. Use HDFC Billpay only.

Yes Millenia is mid range card. You'll get it for free as a Savings Max customer. Platinum is their top end card.

This would be true as I remember Millenia if chargeable was for 550 and platinum was for 750.

She got millenia but I recently upgraded it to Platinum DC.. It seems I again need to go back to Millenia DC..

Yes it is patched bro. Have to use HDFC Billpay Portal and find other methods to pay HDFC, AU & IDFC bills.
