Are you paying your credit card bill via 3rd party app or directly from your bank portal? then you are probably losing 1% cashback.
If you pay your credit card bill via HDFC Bank bill payment portal using your HDFC Bank debit card then you can earn 1% cashback, maximum Cashback capping depends on your debit card type.
Maximum Cashback Capping-
If you have HDFC Easyshop Platinum debit card then you can earn 1% upto Rs. 750 per month, just pay Rs. 75,000 bill & get Rs. 750 cashback.
If you have HDFC Millennia debit card then you can earn 1% upto Rs. 400 per month, just pay Rs. 40,000 bill & get Rs. 400 cashback.

Not only credit card bill, you can pay any utility bill you want (must be available on Hdfc bank bill payment portal) & get 1% cashback.

To Pay Bill Follow These Steps-
1. Login to your HDFC Bank Netbaning
2. Click on "BillPay & Recharge" tab -> Click on Continue



3. Now click on Add Biller
4. Select Credit Card
5. Now select your card provider name



6. Enter your credit card detail
7. Enter amount you want to pay
8. Select your debit card from drop down menu
9. Click on pay



10. Enter OTP & Done!

You'll receive 1% Cashback for the transaction, you can check & redeem your debit card Cashback from "Card Tab -> Debit Card -> Enquiry -> Cashback Enquiry & Redemption"

Hamesha dr lga rehta tha POSTPE ne credit nahi kiya to... But luckily abhitk koi problem nahi hua.... Lekin ab HDFC bill payment se hi payment kr lenge...

It will take 120 days for the cash back to be posted, some time HDFC posts it earlier

Did you enabled domestic online transaction?
What amount you are trying to pay and how many days after adding card to billpay.
They have some limits (no written) probably due to fraud prevention.
This error comes in initial period. Try to pay lower amount like <10k in initial 2-3 payments. Also after some days. It will allow higher limits after some days and 2-3 payments. This is my experience I got with same error.

Oh. That is wierd. Best would be then to contact customer care. I just described my experience and how it got resolved after some days.

Hdfc credit card is not available to pay. I don't think they will add it as biller. Instead they prefer hdfc savings account holders to pay directly from bank account.
Cashback need to be collected/redeemed. Minimum 250 cashback needed for redemption.

It may take upto few days. But if you want you can try 100 rs payment next day. It should work.

Yes, I was able to do Rs100 today, but its failing for bigger amount. I need to pay more than 1 lacs. Any idea how much time it will take to fully activate?

For me when I started using hdfc billpay I added 2 cards and it took like 7 days but the 3rd card got activated in 3 days.
