Paying CC bill of >75k for rewards/benefits

I have to pay 1.6 Lakh HDFC CC bill this month. With my HDFC platinum debit card, i will pay 75k to get 750 cashback. So, how to pay the remaining amount (85k) to get rewards?

This is a good idea except for the potential (hypothetical) risk of some banks asking for statement and finding rotation and closing the card. One might want to avoid using banks that has issued us HNI cards (these banks close all cards associated to that customer). It might be a good idea to get a rupay credit card from PSU as we may not mind them closing it.

To be fair, if you have Millennia Debit card, then loading amount to any wallets will fetch 1% of the amount added as points on your card. Just putting this there for people who have it.

I just load my Amazon Pay balance and use it to pay my Millennia credit card bills.

Maximum is 400 (40k bill) which might not be enough for some (Magnus folks doing 1L)

Did you try Federal? They have a rupay card and it may be added to BHIM.

Federal is private but usually people don’t care much if they block us for life. They have fully digital onboarding and I hear they send the card within a week.

Just that they check last 3 months we must have no enquiries on CIBIL. I had quite a few and got rejected even though my CIBIL is 790 (came down from 805 due to enquiries). I had 6 enquiries in last 30 /60 days and 12 in 90 days.

Recently got idfc wealth and tata neu card in March month

Nope. It takes 90 days to get cashback. Till then the value of Cashback is no more left. Platinum card is better.

Not via Mobikwik (for Millenia card). You've to load wallet (either Amazon pay or Paytm) to get 1% Cashback and then pay CC Bill via that wallet amount.

It is already devalued before official launch itself. Plus a very shady app.
