Payment in foreign Currency

Which is the best card to make payment in foreign currency? I have to make payment through paypal or even direct payment option is there. Not sure where will i incur less charges?

Reserve and Citi Prestige are the only 2 cards you receive bonus for forex transactions. Even if you can do 5:2 and not 5:4 it's still the best reward rate you can get. Also, Magnus + Reserve + 10L Burgundy gets you 5:4.
Also if I don’t open a Burgundy account would you suggest Axis Magnus is be better than Infinia or any other cash back card. Thanks.

Hi, thank you for all your replies. I got in touch with Axis bank. They suggested Burgundy private one card. Is this card better than the Burgundy Magnus and reserve ? Prompt reply will be helpful.

Burgundy Private One requires a TRV of 5 CR. Gives 15 reward points per Rs. 200 & has 0% forex markup. So yes they right with plenty of "T&C applies".

However, that would be a crazy route to take for a single transaction. And from a pure points perspective isn't the best VFM by any means.

The issue I am facing is Burgundy reserve or Magnus is not giving me the limit of 25L. The cards won’t let me pay as I won’t have the required limit. So I am in a fix.

Everyone ignored the fact that this guy is trying to pay 25L in one transaction.

Only Platinum charge can help you with that big of a transaction
Charge cards have shadow limits. But you can request Amex to temporarily bump up the limit for a big purchase. Based on their assessment, they will decide whether or not to accommodate the request.

I am trying to figure out a way to pay in 5-6 transactions on the same day. If that works I will probably choose the axis reserve/magnus with burgundy. Thank you guys.

No. We were aware of it. As I assume OP was. That was never the ask from OP so it was assumed that OP had that under control.

Platinum Charge makes a loss on international transactions. Not to mention that you don't truly have NPSL. It's just that they don't tell you what it is.
