Paytm Citi Credit Card - Citi Axis transfer

so bascially i thought all citi including co-branded card will be transferred to axis bank but doesn't seem that way cause only citi card expect co-branded all customer have received mail for consent to transfer their relationship to axis, so should i close the paytm cc it has 3.37 laksh limit and 50,000 k spend for reversal , or they will send mail to co-branded citi card ? card has 1% cashback it was issued in jan 2019.

Mine is swapped to Cashback.. Will they accept upgrade later? Literally both Rewards n Cashback cards are useless apart from offers. Anyway, welcome offer is good on swap.. 1000 rs cashback on using card within 30 days of issuance for 1k or more..

Also wondering what would be their equivalent in Axis..
Did you already had citi rewards now or in the past? Or they just offered you citi cashback directly?

Now they've applied pro rated annual fee on cashback card issued to me. Ideally it was supposed to be FYF. Let's see if this is due to migration and they auto refund.. Else I'll contact customer care.. I have their email that says it's FYF.. Lol

I have rewards i want to close but want to take cashback if it is LTF
swapped card will be free, cause calculate they charge fees at the end of 12 month and citi won't be operating in india hence you can click on act now and card give will to you citi cashback with 1000 cashback after spending 1000 in 30 days after card issurance

Yep with 1000 it will be 🙂 but it's good to have unconditional LTF so in axis we will get same

I also had rewards. Today called them for card closure. They offered 1000 rupees. I declined that and asked for LTF instead. They declined that and processed my card closure😂.

Closed one Axis privilege card also yesterday citing annual fee. They also went ahead with closure.

Now after 4 weeks, Paytm card will automatically close.

Axis Privilege (upgraded from my zone) and Paytm card were my first 2 cards. No idea how much that will impact cibil.

After that Axis Magnus and SBI cashback will be target for closure, as soon as they get devalued. These two are only paid cards remaining now.

To all the Citi card holders - a gentle reminder
================================
If your Citi card is LTF, or has been converted to LTF, then consider keeping a proof of the same. After migration, we don't know what games Axis will play. They are known to never honor their deals.
I am very very certain that the existing Citi cards will not be closed, unless they directly violate Axis Bank's strict policies - example - if Axis has strict policy of a maximum of 4 cards, and after merger, a person tend to have 5 cards - 3 from Axis and 2 from Citi, then , Axis may ask the person to close a card. Other than that, they will most likely not close any existing cards.
Because, it will not make sense for Axis to pay such a hefty price in acquiring Citi's business. They didn't consider converting Citi PayTM cards to Axis was because that would make Freecharge cards null and void, where Axis has directly invested (Freecharge is owned by Axis). And if they would consider closing all existing Citi cards, they will loose probably 50% pre-Citi costumers within a month.

So, keep all documents, proof, as much as possible with you. We never know what might hit you

Since you have citi reward take citi cashback and they said to you they will charge you fees? To me on phone she said it free. or take the card use 1000 rs , spend 1000 for that in 30 days and after 11 month close the card. What the harm if Axis take over and don't provide you with ltf then don't take it

I am yet to receive call for Paytm card. But since she declined me for rewards LTF, I guess it may get declined for cashback LTF as well, if they call me later.

I am not interested in 1000 rupees for new card. Now a days many cards give 1000 cb welcome offer.

My minimum threshold is 3k and u can get that if u apply directly on Citi portal rather than taking replacement. In past, they offered 5k also, that's when I took rewards card.
