I stayed there last monsoon. It would suit you perfectly, provided you don't want to venture out of the resort to often and you stick to your goal - of reading a book and just chilling.
The resort itself is on Divar island and can be accessed only via a ferry. It's super peaceful but when I visited in monsoon it hardly had 20% occupancy. The food was excellent and quite fairly priced and the Spa services were great too. I highly recommend it for 3-4 days at least. Beyond that it all comes down to how much solitude you can live with.
