And also not at their lunch time 😜Apply during their office working time. Not at our convenient time.
really??? do they turn off their servers when their work hours end? 😅Apply during their office working time. Not at our convenient time.
On the website but didn't face this issue try on Monday@Bohra @ajitshukla19 How you guys applied for the card? from their website? [apply. pnbcard. in] ?
when i filled my details on the first page it asks for 2 otp's one they sent on mobile and other on email, after entering those otp's when i click submit it again redirects me to the same page where it asks me fill the details again.
did you guys faced anything similar?
I uploaded the document on the site and again they are asking me for same document strangePNB Rupay select card application was the worst experience I had. Had to visit branch finally to show them from sent mails that I have sent what they are asking for at least 3 times. Forwarded the mail to branch, then branch sent mail to cc then it was finally done. Took over 3 weeks.
Sir, we are in 2024.Most State Govt offices n Departments equipment remain closed. Even some (small) banks do that. I do not infer that PNB is a small bank.
But, to be on the safe (or the safest) side, I always do my financial trxns during the office working time - and only on working days. This way, I rarely encounter failures.
😆 😆 😆 Don't be surprised. That is their SOP.I uploaded the document on the site and again they are asking me for same document strange
Good to see you taking the trouble to explain - which I am already aware of.Sir, we are in 2024.
Local systems may be shut down but servers run 24x7 with HA and DR. All banking systems usually run with an SLA of 99.5% plus uptime. If transactions fail it is generally due to a temporary outage, which in most cases are auto resolved. Unless there is a bug in the system, a planned maintenance downtime, system has been hacked or some similar issue which brings down the entire system, you will not see a real outage. If it is still failing during off hours for any particular bank, in all likelihood that bank is still living in the ice age and their system needs to be modernized.
I do my transactions in the most weird hours. Generally the load on the servers are low and performance is high during such hours. Trust me, I design such systems.
I don't want to argue with you. But just for your information I am a Principal Technical Architect in a major SW MNC with 25 years of experience and I design these systems day and night. We have uptime SLAs of 99.98% plus with our billion dollar clients which we easily achieve. So hope you get the point, problem is not the system, it's the people. PNB asks for same document multiple times, is it a system issue or people issue? If they don't check mails received during non working hours I hope you will not call it a system issue.Good to see you taking the trouble to explain - which I am already aware of.
After all, I am an AGM of IT Systems from SBI. And, with more than 40 yrs of experience in hardware, networking n computing. I have dealt with almost all mainstream banks.
Forget about the theory part. I am following practically what I suggested based strictly on my experiences in the recent past - from 2020 onwards. Strictly based on my trxns done - more particularly - with AP n TS state Govt departments n others like TTDs, UBOI (earlier Andhra Bank), PNB, BoI, and 2 CoOp Banks.
And, here we are talking about PNB CC. Again based on my last year's experience with PNB CC - first with Platinum Card and later with Select Card. Since, I am an ex-PNB guy, I took the trouble of talking to a couple of guys in PNB CC then.
When you give a suggestion to others - it should be practical n not based on pure theory. More so, when you are dealing with Subsidiaries, 3rd Party Service Providers n Out Sourced Operations of Banks/Govt Depts.
VKYC is not an automated process like credit card application. It needs a person to be seated at the other end and that can definitely have defined working hours. Please understand the difference between applying/submitting in system or conducting automated activities like payments which are 100% automated processes Vs processes like VKYC etc which needs human intervention.Of late, many insider jobs are being outsourced to 3rd party service providing contractors.
I spoke to StanChart CC guys n HSBC CC guys - their call centre / customer care teams are outsourced. Those chaps are handling our dox and they are taking decisions. My dox were never handled by those 2 banks (I am still fighting that issue with them).
Similarly, the vKYC and home/office address verification teams. Each one of them have their own timings. In smaller times, it is highly unpredictable n very erratic.
For example, see the vKYC team's timings of the outsourced service partner of Yes Bank for POP cards. Screenshot attached. At least these guys are clear n advertised their timings. Others, rarely do this. You are shooting in the dark.
Same thing happened to me.Any update. My application is also stucked on ekyc status from last 1 week
