The cheapest card you can get is SmartEarn but that isn't as rewarding as the second cheapest card MRCC.

First-year fees get waived off when you apply using an invited link.
You get 1000 bonus points on 6k spends(and 2000 bonus points on 20k spends).

That's an insane 16.666% return if you transfer them to hotel points or lower for other vouchers.

And if you manage to spend 90k in the first year, the second year fee is just ₹750, and if you spend 1.5L, it gets waived off.

I would say it's one of the best cards to get into the Amex ecosystem.

I know it's a good card & use it personally as well but in general
1. If 6k spends per month then in 12 month - 12000 + 1440 MR points -> multiply with 0.38 (gold collection which gives best value) we get 5107.2 Rs
You won't get fee waiver, so return would be (5107.2 - 1770)/72k = 4.6% return only
2. If you got above for 20k -> let's 10 months 6k & 2 months 20k -> 14000+2000 -> 6080 Rs.
Half fee waiver -> so return (6080-885)/1L = 5.2%
How you calculated 16.66? can you explain?
