Pullman Maldives info

It’s all inclusive I stayed last August with my family. U can pay by points for all hotel charges except the tax and transfer charges from male to kuddo island.

Wrote to them asking for any offers/packages for September/October 2024 and they have not cared to respond after a week. Specifically wanted to know if they will arrange boat transfers from Kooddoo to resort, considering I can book Male to Kooddoo flights directly for lesser price instead of paying them $450 per adult.

Yes that is complimentary. They are very slow in responding.

Can you make the payment at the property? It is showing only online payment option for me.

If you are paying via points at hotel then everything (room + F&B and other charges including tax) can be paid via accor points.
However if you pay online via points the rest has to be settled via payment as accor allows only 1 redemption per bill. This was told to me at Novotel and have experienced it at other hotels too.

This is not true atleast for ibis. I partially burnt points during booking and then some during check out multiple times. Pullman Maldives is acting all royal and violating Accor terms of service.

Well above may be hotel group specific as same was told to me at novotel and Pullman. Anyways I found Pullman danang complete racist and frankly will avoid staying at any Pullman. Very bad experience.

I have started in Novotels in India and Dubai.

Used point redemptions during booking and then again at the time of checkout both the times

Been using accor extensively last 3 years across the globe and frankly they don't have a consistent policy it depends on the manager on site, so I stopped sending emails about this stuff.
Book via points and then talk at the property only. Worked in Dubai, London, paris, china and japan, failed in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.
Maldives I went to taj and frankly it was alright... Enjoyed beaches at Indonesia and Thailand a lot more.

PS: similar issues happen with ITC from time to time.

Ohh really? I was planning Phuket trip fully paid by Accor points (stay + Food + Spa). Looks like it is better to take confirmation from hotel before hand on this topic of burning all via points and then do the booking

I did not visit Phuket as part of that trip, Sofitel krabi definitely said no to burning points for other expenses and Sofitel bangkok is just weird they said u can pay for food but not alcohol and frankly I had wayy more alcohol bill lol.

Stay + food + spa can be easily burned with points

While checkin add some deposit, then ask all incidents to be charged to room and during checkout burn the points.

Only criteria is spa should not be independently managed.

For some properties I have even burned points for airport pick up and drop

Yes I have done this in Dubai. Swiped security deposit while checking in and all expenses added to room. Burned points at the time of checkout

However, navam is saying that experience is different in Thailand, especially Sofitel Krabi where I am also planning to go. Have you experienced something similar in this region or it worked with you every time?

I hvnt been to Sofitel Krabi, but never had any issue with redemption in Thailand, Bali, Singapore , Hong Kong or kenya.
All expenses charged to the room are easily redeemed with points

So in my experience it really depends on the manager there, at Sofitel bangkok I had to leave quite early and the floor manager was basically saying no we don't allow it etc etc and I could not argue for too long.

Whereas in pullman bangkok (different trip) the person checking me out did say they can't do it but called his manager and the manager approved right away.

Also @sourpai Just had a chat with a friend who stayed at mGallery in Phuket, his everything including airport pickup and drop were covered using points during checkout.

I went to phuket (Avista hideaway) food+spa+drink all paid by points and in Sofitel krabi I take only breakfast with points.
