Query for Passport Renewal

Hi All,

My passport expires in 13 months, one month more than the allowed time for me to apply for a new one.

I was going to apply for a schengen visa and wanted to get it on my new passport to make use of the Cascade regime. But I need to do it now..

How can I get my passport renewed when the online portal won't let me choose the correct expiration date (only allows upto the date of application).

Hack : if you are applying for change in passport particulars like change of address / inclusion of spouse name - then they would allow inspite of min 12 months expiry timeline for renewal
