Regalia Gold Regalia add-on cards for family members without HDFC bank accounts.

So, recently I was upgraded to Regalia Gold CC and wanted to get add on cards for my mum and dad to try and consolidate their miscellaneous spends into one account but found out that if one doesn’t have a HDFC bank accounts then they need to mail the physical details and copies of documents via courier to their Chennai office. So, here’s my experiences and some tips for those willing to do that as well:

1. You don’t need to mail it yourself( save 100 bucks and the headache), just go to your branch and ask em to mail it. They literally send physical documents almost daily to Chennai and will “happily” send yours too (usually via speed post as well)

2. You need two copies of your family member’s Pan card and Adhaar card (keep last 4 numbers visible & hide the rest) + a copy of your credit card( keep the last 4 numbers, hide the rest including CVV and Exp date) + 2 passport sized photos of each member + filled up Add on card application form (If you have good rapport, then they will do that for you, but don’t take the chance)

3. You can write the email addresses and phone numbers of the family member’s you are applying for, or they usually call you to ask em as well.

4. Finally, I can confirm that we get different card numbers + all the OTPs come directly to those family member’s phone numbers.

I will now apply for the priority passes for them as well!

Congratulations 👏 🎉 🎉,
Fantastic insights and thanks for sharing.

This is very helpful. Thanks a lot.

In order to avoid the hassle I opened separate hdfc savings accounts for family members, using my preferred salary account and grouped under my family - just so that add-on card application is easy, one click process + they don't need to maintain any minimum balance, it is 0MAB along with my salary acc.

Thats a very good idea, but my hospital doesn’t have a tie up with HDFC, so can’t really get a preferred account with them sadly 🥲
