Rejected Application | Upgraded Indusind CC in 5 minutes

Hi All,
A week back I applied for Eazydiner CC and straightaway Indusind rejected my application.

I went to the branch for and told them that I got Axis Magnus approved and delivered few days back, what's your criteria that my application got rejected even though I am holding your Platinum card for more than a year.

The branch guy just said "Arey sir aap unhe chodiye, ek minute dijiye mai check karta hu"
He called some guy and offered me Pinnacle or a Legend. I told him no I only want Eazydiner I am not interested in those two cards. He called again and told me "Sir aap confirm kariye, upgrade karwa denge and just told me about some Welcome benefits of the card"

I told him "I am ok with it par rejected hai meri application, fir bhi ho jaega koi wait nhe."
He said "Nhe sir sab abhi hoga 5mins mei.. Aapke pass call aaegi jo maine aapko Welcome benefits btayae hai aapse wahi woh confirm karenge ki employee ne kuch gadbad toh nhe ki"

In 5mins i got a call from Indusind the lady was just confirmed the same along with charges and the application was processed.

Even after that the guy was confident and was telling me sir "Aap ek baar check kar lijiyega Pinnacle aur Legend card, hum approve karwa denge LTF(probably Legend) "

My point is -
1. Within a week of my application getting rejected that branch guy got me an upgrade even though there was no offer on the card and got the application processed and confirmed in 5minutes. How?
2. On top of that he was still offering me new Card that. No waiting/cooldown period?

And Yes, I will take one LTF card.

I am also stuck with my Platinum card from last year; I have not gotten an upgrade, etc. After a few conversations with the regional head, he offered me a Paid Heritage card. i said i will think.

it is at bank's discretion to be flexible with cooldown period and approve cards.
they can manually override system decisions if they want to - no RBI regulations against that. remember the 'internal criteria' that banks keep talking about and never disclose? - well that's the part that they are allowed to play with. the trick is to find a good branch person with the motivation to do that.
your guy would be probably interested in selling more cards for more commission. lucky you.
the cooling period restrictions are designed to keep away credit hungry and risky customers. in your case, since you already had a card and maybe a good repayment history, their team would have decided to go ahead and override manually.

Indusind gave me Eazydiner card addition to existing Pinnacle Card (application via Email request) and branch people upgraded my Pinnacle card to Vistara Explorer in same month. I have both cards now on SPLIT limit basis. Now, i have requested them Signature Debit Card which is in process. I think indusind is doing aggressive marketing on field. Jus visit the branch and they will do whatever you need.

@jack333 Initially Both With Fees. Vistara Explorer i got for 10k joining.

Eazydiner they offered for first year free but later they said as i am existing cardholder for Indusind then they will charge fees. Today i received 1st statement but the joining fees is not charged. Hence i think Eazydiner is free for first year. If you are new then you definitely get FYF

Does your Vistara explorer have annual fee also? How you got for 10k bro?
