With the extra 1%+GST charges and no reward points across all the major cards now, what is the best way to pay rent?
I have genuine rent payments worth 90K every month.
Please suggest. Thanks for your time.

Actually my brother is holding 3 credit cards from HDFC. Moneyback, 6E Rewards, Tata Neu Rupay Cards. HDFC is very kind enough with him. So technically no one card policy in HDFC.

Yes varies. But what about HDFC one card policy here?? He have combined limit of 4L again without ITR. He is been with them for the past 4 years and Classic account holder. This shows clear indication of good relationship with Bank.

I pay close to the rent that you pay per month using SBI Club Vistara Prime CC. Given me 1800 CV points every month and 1 premium economy voucher every 2 months because the 1.5 L milestone is reached. Seems like a phenomenal use because I do fly vistara often.

Those 1800 CV points do compensate for the rent paying charges of the gateways.

Paid rent today through paytm. It went through fine but got an ivr call from axis to accept/decline transaction. Didn't make sense to me since the payment already went through.

I did split the rent payment into 2 transactions and both went through.

I split it because I was getting 1.5% cashback upto 300 for 3 transactions. So if I did 29k at one go, i would have got just 300 instead of 435 😅

Can be done, I think upper limit ₹100k
