Reward points Infinia

Hi All,

There could be posts similar to this but I am in a hurry. Hence, this post.

I have Infinia credit card and more than a Lakh reward points in my account.
My smartbuy -15,000 points limit is now exhausted.
We are planning a trip to Nepal (4 people).
How can I utilize maximum existing reward points for Hotels and Flights and less cash (by using card again) as I won't be able to get any 5x points)?

you can't avoid the 30% payment by HDFC card

Yes , as he exhausted the monthly 15k cap

No, you will not get 5x rewards points as 15k limit is exhausted for this month. You will get usual 3.3% rewards.
I would recommend to book flight using rewards and for hotel check offers on different cards. Hotel rates vary from Smartbuy, MMT, booking.com and cleartrip etc

1. For local expenses in Nepal, activate global value program for your infinia and pay by card. You will get 1% cashback additional to base reward of 3.3% which in total will give positive return after forex charge.
2. You can activate internatiinal payment in bhim, phone pay, paytm and pay in Nepal shops using upi (fonepay qr codes in Nepal will accept) without any forex charge. You can pay from bank acc, not rupay cc.
3. For flight and hotel booking, check mcc codes for 3rd party portals. Some of them are registered with railway mcc which may not give reward point citing govt category. Please do some research or check other threads.
