RuPay launch 'Tap & Pay' on GooglePay app:

Upi tap n pay works with both savings account and rupay credit card. I know the second image is for usual mastercard/visa.
But it isn't of any use, instead of scanning and then getting the upi id, tap and pay for upi retrieves upi id by nfc. You still need a working internet connection, merchant may not accept payment via rupay cc on upi id

For upi, your phone reads the data from the upi qr box and in tap to pay the pos machine reads the data from your phone similar to how it does with a physical cards

These two are very different things

First bro you need to understand the concept of tap & pay.

If the rupay cards are supported for tap & pay on Gpay, it must be there with the logo of visa/mastercard.
Don't judge me too quickly. Samsung pay is my daily driver, so I know what tap n pay in MC/Visa is. My point was we can use rupay card through upi tap and pay method. Go and read my messages again.

Rupay card is already added in samsung pay (as UPI) but can't be added as tap n pay as of now.

My personal opinion: MC/Visa like tap n pay is not needed at all for rupay credit cards because UPI on rupay serves the same purpose.
Bro, you are still not understanding why we are demanding this service.

We have DCBM and it's supported via RUPAY network in INDIA, and we can't attach dcbm in upi nor in any wallets, so this feature is too much required to use DCBM via NFC.

We also knew we can pay via scanning qr codes, you are not alone holding RUPAY Cards, but I understand from your point of view, you never had nor having any DCB Cards.

It will come within 2 years—NFC payment via RuPay.

GPay work very slowly; this will give an idea of how much time it's going to take -

GPay also took Almost 2 years for Visa after the announcement.

Google Pay announced the rollout of NFC-based tokenized card payments in India on September 19, 2019 -

it supported Visa cards issued by HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, State Bank of India, Standard Chartered, and Axis Bank, with plans to extend support to Mastercard and RuPay cards in the following months. 🤣 🤣

Google Pay begins testing NFC-based payments feature via credit and debit cards on September 1, 2020 -

Android Police first spotted the development on August 28. Right now, only some Axis Bank and SBI cards on Visa are supported. While the feature has reportedly not rolled out to all users -

Note - I remember that in 2021, Google Pay actually started rolling out the NFC feature for everyone with Visa Card, but with limited banks. Before that, it was only available to a few selected users.

Google Pay and Mastercard announced their collaboration to enable tokenized card payments in India on December 21, 2021 -

Note - Even with Mastercard, it was initially launched with only a few limited banks. I mean, even now there are only a few banks, but earlier it was even fewer.
