Nothing is written in welcome letter regarding waiver. It is FYF. Regarding 1L MAB, it is only written in website. Mine is normal account with 500 INR AMB requirement. So far nothing is deducted for maintaining 1 Lakh AMC from my account

For hni accounts select/signature card is free 10 lakh qab is required.
with normal savings ac also u can apply for select card no need to maintain 1lakh

went to the local union bank branch for card upgrade. initially they told me card is not yet blocked, i told i will block instantly and blocked. then they told me to go to city branch. today visited the city branch and they are telling me card is still acitive in their system. first i have to give letter ot block and then later after it gets blocked i have to give another letter to ask for new debit card and now this guy is saying same can be done even in local branch. fed up with this bunch of smart idiots

Union Bank of India provides lowest fees.... FYF and AMC is 400 + GST. I got the card by physically applying at branch. Card change fees was applied instantly.(100 + GST). Rest of procedure is smooth and got card in 15 days.

Branch folks may be misleading, then. I didn't bothered much.
As first you have to block your debit card and then only that select is applied.
If it shows active in their system then it will not proceed.

For canara, apply via netbanking. I have Rupay Select DC from Canara
