went to the local union bank branch for card upgrade. initially they told me card is not yet blocked, i told i will block instantly and blocked. then they told me to go to city branch. today visited the city branch and they are telling me card is still acitive in their system. first i have to give letter ot block and then later after it gets blocked i have to give another letter to ask for new debit card and now this guy is saying same can be done even in local branch. fed up with this bunch of smart idiots

Same thing happened to me. Card block through VYOM did not work. Ultimately branch guys had blocked and issued new DC

I would request convert to 1L MAB account and get the DC, after some time downgrade the account.

Yes bhai. Maintain for 2-3 months. After that tell the branch that you are having financial crunch so downgrade. DC will not change.

They are saying I need Rs. 1 Lakh MAB or Salary a/c for RuPay Platinum. I got my account number etc, and set up Internet banking. There is an option for online application of a Debit card. But here I am only able to see RuPay Qsparc and Visa Paywave. Chat Support redirects me to the branch. What can I do?

I don't think you can get rupay select debit in union without 1 lakh MAB, reading other's replies and my own experience.
