Hi

I recently upgraded to SBI Wealth Savings Account. I got SBI Rupay Select Debit Card as LTF as part of it.

I am also eligible for FYF credit card, either Aurum or Elite.

Which shall I choose ?

I will NOT renew any of these beyond 1st free year.

My main goals are :
1. To enjoy the free perks for 1st year.
2. To use this card to get other premium cards, example IDFC Wealth, etc
3. Any possibility to get a lowe SBI credit card LTF going forward, preferably Cashback or Simply click for SBI instant discounts.

Please help me select a good card.
Also feel free to suggest on best ways to maximize the perks of debit & credit card.

Thanks

Aurum is more premium than Elite.I remember seeing 4 free tickets offer 250 each on BMS.I think even reward rates are better for Aurum. It must be higher fee ,but since you are getting FYF. You could enjoy the benefits at least for 1 year. Still suggest to go through the detailed reviews and take a call.

Upgrade is through TRV or Premier Institutes way?

Aurum FYF is better.
As OP mentioned - it would be through TRV/product type.
To the best of my knowledge, the premium institute way is for current students only (IITs, IIMs, etc), but not for Alumni sadly.

On this note, @MrWick can you please confirm if we get any FYF/LTF credit card for CSP Platinum account. I read it in a flyer that for an IT MNC they provide FYF Elite CC on PLatinum CSP and FYF Aurum for Rhodium CSP.
Will it work for all the customers having these CSP products, or are these MNC specific?

Undoubtedly SBI cashback is the best card from SBI
Aurum is great if its first year free and you can phone them to waive off the renewal fee
