SBI Card messed up my application, RBI and CPGRAMS not helping - need suggestions

Hey everyone,
I really need some advice here because I’ve been going in circles for months now with SBI Card, RBI, and CPGRAMS, and still haven’t received a proper resolution.

So here’s what happened:
Last year, I applied for an SBI Credit Card online through their website. I clearly remember selecting the normal variant, not the “Reliance SBI Card PRIME” version. Everything - from applying to completing video KYC - was done online.

A few days later, when the card arrived, I was shocked to see it was the Prime variant with ₹2999 annual fee. I immediately raised the issue with the sales person, he promised me that keep using the card and in 6 months Sbi will make it LTF and i was new at that time so didn't thought that much.

Later i raised the matter with SBI and asked them to show me the original digital application form where I supposedly selected this Prime variant.
Instead of that, they sent me a MIT (Most Important Terms and Conditions) copy - which is totally different! That copy already has my credit card number printed on it.
Now tell me - when you apply for a card online, do you already have a card number at that stage? Obviously not. The number gets generated later, after approval. So clearly, the MIT they are showing is not the original application form.

I raised this matter with RBI Ombudsman, explaining that SBI is hiding the actual application and trying to pass off MIT as proof. RBI just forwarded SBI’s same old reply and closed the complaint without verifying anything.

Then I tried CPGRAMS, hoping for a fair check. But again, they simply accepted SBI’s reply and marked my case as “disposed.” No one even bothered to check whether the document shared was actually the original application form.

Now SBI is repeatedly asking me to visit their walk-in desk to “see” the application form in person - which makes no sense because it was an online application. They can easily share it digitally if they actually have it.

It’s been months of back-and-forth, and I’m seriously tired. They are just forwarding template replies. I just want them to replace the card with the original one which i asked for but NO, they ain't helping. Also it's been year so i don't have whatsapp chat with the sales agent or any other proof. But i clearly remember that i would never apply for the card with fees of 2999.

Has anyone faced something similar with SBI Cards or any other bank?
What’s the next logical step when even RBI and CPGRAMS don’t take proper action?
Is there any higher authority to file a complaint?

Any help or suggestions would mean a lot.
Thanks for reading if you made it this far.

I'm attaching a reply given by sbi to me, rbi, and cpgrams in which they are just reiterating and not acknowledging the core issue.

Very sad story, marking our TF Jolly LLB @SJM , now he is the hope, as you already gone through RBI CPGRAMS...

Why don't you downgrade instead to required card? I understand what you went through but if nothing is getting concluded in your favor then just close the card or downgrade it.

I asked them to downgrade but they are not downgrading it and it is the one and only card i am holding also it is the oldest card.

Apply for a new one by yourself and close the current. In case you do have other cards, this won't impact you much. Your payment history stays in your report and that's what matters. Score recovers fairly easily

This is the only card I'm holding and i tried to apply but got rejected despite having 802 cibil.

Few days before I was also baited in the same way bro, through customer care I had applied for phone pe select, and I was almost about the sign the doc, but when I checked the sms for the link, it showed bpcl octane. When i asked customer care in call, she simply escaped by saying you will get phonepe select and sent me out a new sms and link within seconds. Waiting for the approval or rejection mail for phone pe but I was about to be scammed.
Few years before when sbi cashback launched I was applying in the same manner , i got scammed for simply save. this made me make sure to verify the details this time.

Be careful guys, whenever you are applying online through their agents.
