SBI card swap/change period

Hi, I got SBI simply click card on dec 2022, As it is paid card and I want SBI card only for offers, so thinking of taking SBI BPCL card by swapping my simply click card.
I always wanted SBI BPCL card as it is eligible for SBI instant discount offer and fee reversal spend is only 50K,
but in office there was SBI desk was offering simply click on CIBIL without documents so I applied and got.

After how many days, I can swap that card with BPCL. Can I call customer care and swap?

Please suggest.
 
Just to clarify, I am not referring to calling and requesting a closure, and then asking for an upgrade. This is the regular process for upgrading, which I was offered after 6 months. If your card is over 6 months old, you can call them and inquire about any available upgrades.

One more way. Raise card closure request through app. U will get call in 5 mins.

They offer u all cards. Also negotiates extra bonus points
They offered me upgrade from SimplySave to BPCL normal or Octane when I placed closure request. They took 2 service request - 1 for closure of SimplySave and 1 for upgrade to BPCL normal. Closure request successfully completed and one day later the upgrade request also got declined saying I am not eligible 😠 Now I have no SBI cards 😤

Feeling sad for you....But sbi work's like this, If you have two sbi cards then only put a closure request

U can escalate this. Because of their promise, U closed it.

In my friend’s case he got his elites fees back with gst. 5900₹ along with new card upgrade.

Actually after discovering technofino and lot of credit cards, I felt dumb for holding such a useless card. I used only for Amazon/Flipkart's 10% offers so it matched the annual fee for me. Now I do not feel sad for losing this card but for the representatives who mislead me.

I have IRCTC platinum with ₹1500 rewards in cashkaro which means it is approx 3 years free, but I will wait for 2 months as I receive 1-2 calls per month from SBI for credit card offers. I will ask for LTF or decline the call and apply BPCL normal offline/C2C.
 
No such criteria.
Raise a closure request and wait for call. My friend changed twice, from elite to airindia to vistara in about a month.
Just tried today, from air india, and they said Vistara is a new card and not available for me again (third time) not sure what the criteria are. One thing that is awesome is that received the call within 30 seconds of the closure request.

Glad to see this trick is working 😅
But their criteria is changing every month.

My observations:
1. Place closure request in morning, around 10:30 to get instant call. Evening request seems to get late/ no call till 2 days.
2. Place closure request for their useless cards such as elite, simplysave etc. dont bet on ur cashback, they might close it😉
3. Get good limit on ur cards, to increase upgrade chances. My friends limit was 4L+ and he was eligible for almost all cards.
4. Be ready to fight in case of mishap, after all its SBI (sarkari)

@ALOAK lol they don't know where is my card, they can't track it in their system, and they don't have any dispatch status. it's the 3rd time they have accepted a request to reissue the card, and till now im using the digital card only. it's been a month. really pathetic service by this PSU bank.

Welcome to the world of SBI largest bank in india who can't even manage a credit card division.
 
Same thing happened to me. That is why I got fed up and closed the card permanently and even after that I get msg to reactivate the card. Imagine the level of service. It is truly pathetic

Keep a tab you would be charged annual fee in Sept. Call and inform care will not pay until card is physically received and record u r call. Because you may need it to dispute incase even this reissued does not come again. Hope you receive it.
