SBI Cashback credit card official benefits revised w.e.f. 1st May 2023

REVISION OF BENEFITS ON CASHBACK SBI CARD:

With effect from 01 May 2023, following changes will be applicable on your CASHBACK SBI Card:

A. Below categories will not be eligible for Cashback benefit, apart from existing exclusions:

Jewelry	5051, 5094, 5944, 7631
School & Educational Services	5111, 5192, 5942, 5943, 8211, 8220, 8241, 8244, 8249, 8299, 8351
Utilities	4814, 4900, 9399, 4816, 4899
Insurance Services	5960, 6300, 6381
Card, Gift, Novelty & Souvenir Shops	5947
Member Financial Institution/Quasi Cash	6011, 6012, 6051
Railways	4011, 4112

The Merchant Category Codes are defined by the Networks and are subjected to change basis their discretion and such changes shall be implemented basis communication from the Networks without any requirement for intimation/information to the customers.

B. Maximum Cashback that can be earned on online & offline spends in a statement cycle will be capped at `5000.

C. Complimentary Domestic Airport Lounge benefit will be discontinued.

You will get instant discount offer with cash back card on Flipkart only if there is offer 'certain amount of discount for all prepaid mode of payment'.

It was there yesterday and today as well not sure if its there in bbd sale period. In my opinion they should not block cashback cards for instant discount. my first reason for getting sbi cashback was to use sbi card in sales as couple of times had to borrow from my friends. Also after they removed lounge access I really hate the sbi cashback. My annual cashback is close to 1200 and 4-5 months more left. If i had to shell 999+gst renewal I didn't made any profit by getting this card 😛

a query regarding SBI Cashback card, if I buy something from myntra and return it the convenience charge doesn't get refunded so credit card charged amount and refund amount is different. So is the system smart enough to deduct the cashback earned for that particular transaction?

If you want to buy RuPay Giftcards from Zingoy and pay 2% conv fee then i give you better suggestion.

Use OmniCard wallet load (full kyc) 2.17% load money charges and you can also free transfer to bank or cc bill repayment via OmniCard Wallet UPI + you will also get Virtual OmniCard RuPay Prepaid card. Full kyc 2 lakhs monthly limit but 10k daily spend limit.

Another suggestion, use Coupl app and pay only 1.9% wallet load charges (load Rs2000*5 times) and repay your SBI Card, BOB, Federal and Kotak credit card bill repayment via Coupl app wallet balance. Note - before load first check your cc bill amount fetch or not and you can pay any cc bill amount like Rs100 or upto Rs10,000 per month (5% Cashback for SBI Cashback Credit Card).

Now working good. No error aso now. earlier error was related to more transaction failure rate on sbi cards like that. If it some back will get back to you guys.
