Only 1% base cashback for education categories
unlike any other or including own bank other cards, "hdfc used a cryptic words to provide cashback on swiggy cc", which is ..

"eligible mcc which bank decide time to time"

for now, you can get 1% but even if they don't provide we have no right to ask with those above words.
Well something is better than nothing....

Does Swiggy give 5% for educational payments?

HSBC Cashback laughs in the corner
Please add HSBC Live+ to the post also. Would be a nice comparison. Have both live+ and Swiggy.
Yes please add HSBC cashback Airtel and Axis cashback in the comparison chart

This post primarily focuses on 5% online cards, which cover some major online partners. I believe around 70% of online shopping happens on websites included under cards like HDFC Millennia, so I included that card in the comparison.

These three cards are closely related, and if someone has one of them, they can safely ignore the other two which is redundant to their purpose.

Regarding HSBC Live+, IMO, it is primarily designed for food/grocery-related purchases, not for general shopping or other online platforms. It serves a specific purpose and is separate from the cards discussed here.

As for Axis Cashback, I’ll definitely include it once the details are available on the Axis Bank website. I believe they’ll refresh the card to match the offerings of these cards. Once TnCs are available on the Axis website, will include in this list.

Very interesting comparisons

1/ Recently, I made HDFC approve my Swiggy Credit Card and my first bill has finally been generated. Let’s break it down and see how it performed. 🧵

2/ Amazon Purchase (5% Cashback)

Purchased a phone for ₹29,995 on Amazon (29th Nov 2024).

Cashback Received: ₹1,499.75 ✅

So yes, this card gives 5% cashback even on phone purchases.

3/ Swiggy Spend (10% Cashback)

Swiggy Food & Instamart: Spent ₹1,978.

Cashback Received: ₹197.80 ✅

4/ Cashback Timeline

Bill Generated: 14th Dec 2024

Cashback Credited: 16th Dec 2024 (2 days after).

The cashback process is smooth and fast – no delays.

5/ Conclusion:

5% cashback on Amazon worked flawlessly (all shopping including phone).

10% cashback on Swiggy Food & Instamart is consistent.

This card is living up to its promise so far.

6/ Anyone else using the HDFC Swiggy Credit Card? How’s your cashback experience? Let’s discuss! 👇
