@Rule_Breaker Thanks for your advise. I went ahead and confirmed the card. Also received Rs 2000 Cashkaro Rewards for the same as well. It was bit hectic though.
SBI agent who called for verification had applied for a SBI BPCL Platinum while confirming the details, I had then denied to proceed with the card. Declined their call 3-4 times. Then a person holding Manager position in SBI Cards called me. He talked very politely and I discussed the whole matter with him and explained me all the things. Also noted about the discrepancy of their employees. And finally he proceeded with SBI SimplyClick Credit Card and finished all the necessary verifications very quickly. I requested him If I can get the card as soon as possible (since i was about to travel after few days) he expedited the process and I got the card within a week. With a very healthy credit limit as well. No physical verification. No income proof demanded. Since I was holding a SBI account, Bank statement of last 6 months worked.
Even then Cashback wasn't confirmed till yesterday. I discussed the matter with Cashkaro guys and they said the bank saying application is still in progess, i sent them the card delivery sms, they escalated it to the bank and confirmed the Cashback yesterday. As always, Cashkaro stood up to its fantastic customer service and transparency and strong commitments. Overall a good experience.
I had almost decided not to proceed with the application but then after talking to the manager of SBI Cards, my mind changed. He was so courteous, also belonged to my native state so we talked in our native language as well. He acknowledged the mis-selling done by their agents and assured me of the best service going forward and also stood up to his commitment. I was very impressed.
Thanks to you as well for changing my mind. I wanted a SBI card for the upcoming sale season and only SimplyClick was in my mind. Rs 2000 CashKaro rewards was a super bonus to it. Thanks again.
