SBI Etihad Guest Credit Card

I could not find any relevant thread for information regarding SBI Etihad Guest Credit card, so have created this new thread. Just have few queries:

1) According to Etihad website, to be eligible for the 3% (economy) or 10% (business) class, you have to book tickets through Etihad website dedicated link. Whether the fares shown on the link is for a specific class. Or in other words whether discounted fare classes available for normal booking through Etihad website is eligible for 3% or 10% discount through the dedicated link for card holders? The link available in Etihad website asks for the credit card number. So only cardholders can access the eligible fare info. So if anyone knows this information, can you please share this info?

2) SBI Etihad Guest Credit card holders will get Etihad miles as per statement credit. Whether card holders who make a booking on etihad will also accrue the normal miles as other non-card holders in addition to the statement credit Etihad miles. Is there a double dipping here?

3) SBI website does not mention any income eligibility criteria for this card? In paisabazzar website, it is mentioned around 40000 per month, but i think it might not be correct. So asking for someone who had previously applied for it. Also if you had applied via C2C, can you please let me know the minimum limit that your agent recommended and which card you used for C2C?

I recently got Atlas for flight booking, but if all discounted fares are eligible for 10% discount with SBI Etihad card and if there is double dipping, it looks SBI Etihad would be a better option for booking via Etihad and Atlas for other airlines.

It seems that ethiad will create a seperate link for eligible card holders and those may or may not be the same prices as shown for general people.

i guess the 10% discount + plus miles earned on flight purchases are effectively a double dip

3L would be good with 1 year card age

Thanks for the clarification. Just have a query on this quoted line. May be i did not phrased point #2 correctly. So if i book a business class ticket on etihad using non-SBI card to an international destination, i get Y miles to my Etihad guest account based on miles flown and booking class. But if i book using SBI Etihad guest credit card on Etihad website, i will get 10% discount + 3 Etihad Guest Miles on every Rs. 100 spent on Etihad.com (which we can refer as Z miles). I know Etihad guest SBI card holders get 10%+the Z miles, but do i also get the Y miles which is based on the miles flown and booking category?

ethiad is preferable when you want to have a transit at abu dabhi or you are getting a stellar bonus points deal via biz class or first class
i remember they had a 30% additional points promo back in july
@Slayer and @xywowowvw : Yes exactly. The recently introduced Etihad route to Copenhagen (transit via Abu Dhabi) from Chennai costs 120000 INR in certain dates on February 2024. Fare is approx. 70-80% lesser when compared to Emirates and Qatar.

I would never trust Turkish. Not because of the airlines. But Turkey's history of coup d'état. And all their flights to Europe connect via Istanbul.

Yes, if you're flexible, both Qatar and Etihad offer unbeatable prices in the J segment on certain routes.

Yes, that would be applicable only when booked through third party websites. But when it comes to credit card perks via booking directly on website, IndusInd Bank Avios Infinite Visa Credit Card also gives 10% discount on bookings via Qatar airways website, but the joining fees and annual fees are very high when compared to SBI Etihad right?

Even when booked directly with them, if you have the flexibility, you can get really good prices. You can do BLR-LHR on QTR for around 55-80K one way in J. That is a steal!
Coming to the IndusInd Avios card, it does not offer any discount as such for flight booking. When compared with the SBI Guest Premier, it is not as rewarding either. Not to mention the hefty JF and AF(though it is negotiable).

Thanks for the info. That's a steal deal.

And on top of that if you are getting additional discount via credit card it is a bumper steal deal. So that's why asked about Avios/Indusind vs SBI/Etihad guest. I thought there might be some hidden advantage for Avios which i was not aware. But looks like the high JF/AF for Avios/Indusind is not justifiable at all when compared to SBI/Etihad

Hello, As there is a post regarding this particular card, I would like to ask, I have been a holder of this card for more than 4 years now, and my limit is approx 3L , I would like to apply for a limit enhancement, any idea if we can do this by emailing them? I can show an ITR of 8-12 Lakhs.

Regards
JK

Yes you will get Y miles . But it will go to the account of traveller. If you are travelling, you will get it in you account but let's say if you buy tickets for someone else, in that case you will get 10%+Z miles but the other person travelling will get Y miles.

PS: I have Etihad Guest Premier.

And if you want to book economy tickets, I would suggest go for Etihad Guest Premier as it will give you a lot of perks via Etihad Gold status.
If you are interested I can elaborate.
