SBI Etihad Guest Credit Card

I could not find any relevant thread for information regarding SBI Etihad Guest Credit card, so have created this new thread. Just have few queries:

1) According to Etihad website, to be eligible for the 3% (economy) or 10% (business) class, you have to book tickets through Etihad website dedicated link. Whether the fares shown on the link is for a specific class. Or in other words whether discounted fare classes available for normal booking through Etihad website is eligible for 3% or 10% discount through the dedicated link for card holders? The link available in Etihad website asks for the credit card number. So only cardholders can access the eligible fare info. So if anyone knows this information, can you please share this info?

2) SBI Etihad Guest Credit card holders will get Etihad miles as per statement credit. Whether card holders who make a booking on etihad will also accrue the normal miles as other non-card holders in addition to the statement credit Etihad miles. Is there a double dipping here?

3) SBI website does not mention any income eligibility criteria for this card? In paisabazzar website, it is mentioned around 40000 per month, but i think it might not be correct. So asking for someone who had previously applied for it. Also if you had applied via C2C, can you please let me know the minimum limit that your agent recommended and which card you used for C2C?

I recently got Atlas for flight booking, but if all discounted fares are eligible for 10% discount with SBI Etihad card and if there is double dipping, it looks SBI Etihad would be a better option for booking via Etihad and Atlas for other airlines.

Yes you will get Y miles . But it will go to the account of traveller. If you are travelling, you will get it in you account but let's say if you buy tickets for someone else, in that case you will get 10%+Z miles but the other person travelling will get Y miles.

PS: I have Etihad Guest Premier.
@nrj1007

if you have a family Etihad guest account and if you book for family member then you will get Y miles right in your account right?

Can you please let me know the following info:

1) When you book flights through the dedicated link in etihad website after entering card number, the fares eligible for 3%/10% discount are higher than normal fares via etihad?

2) Did you use C2C method for Etihad Guest Premier card application? And if so can you please let me know which card you used as base card and the limit on that card

3) I thought it would be bit easier to get the normal variant compared to the premier variant as other fellow forum members had previously applied for upgrade to premier and got declined. so just asking

And if you want to book economy tickets, I would suggest go for Etihad Guest Premier as it will give you a lot of perks via Etihad Gold status.
If you are interested I can elaborate.
@nrj1007 Can you please elaborate? The gold status is applicable only for the first year right? After one year, the status depends on the miles or tier segments right? For my usage, it would be easier to maintain silver, but not gold. So asking. It was not mentioned anywhere in the website that the gold status would be renewed after card anniversary year or based on spend criteria

I booked the flights via Atlas and I applied for Etihad Premier after that. I will try to check.

I applied online. They asked for any other card details where I filled the details of my DCB with 6 lakhs limit. Although they still asked for payslips.

Might be. I don't know. For me they took around 20 days to approve.

The tnc says you will get gold for 6 months. If you book Etihad tickets with this card within 6 months then it will be extended for 6 more months. Not sure after 1 year.

My plan is to close the card before 1 year completion and maintain whatever status I have after that.

Here is my experience with Etihad Gold. I am not sure what all are included with Etihad Silver out of these.

1. Priority checkin using Business class counter.
2. 1 extra baggage allowance.
3. Priority boarding.
4. Self + guest access at Encalm Privee(business class lounge) at Delhi airport, Business class lounge at Abhi Dhabi and 50USD voucher or Air India lounge at New York airport.
I used Air India lounge via DCB and asked for 50USD voucher which I used to buy chocolates at airport.
5. Free economy seat selection for self+1.
6. 50% discount on Economy extra space seats for self +1. I bought it and was worth it.
7. Extra airmiles on travelling via Etihad.

Overall I saved 8k on extra baggage, 20k on extra space seats, 50usd voucher at New York airport, earned 100% miles (50% miles without any status) on economy class. And other lifestyle benefits.
