SBI gave a replacement CC for free

I have a SBI SimplyClick card while travelling I misplaced it somewhere didnt know whether it was in any of my bag or I lost it so immediately I blocked it thought of looking for it when I got back home. However 3 days after blocking I got call from SBI card department saying I was eligible for a free replacement card and I received it today in my address. Do they give replacement card for free or is it because I transact often with this Credit card?

Are they really free for all? I mean its clearly mentioned on the website of SBI cards that

• Card Replacement: Rs. 100 - Rs. 250 (Rs.1500 for Aurum)

Oh I didnt know I thought it was Rs250 never knew it was free first time I am getting it for free

I have replaced SBI cards multiple times no fee was charged even tho their site mentions it
Plus all other major banks have no fee on this, 3rd class bank has this criteria

One of my credit cards (from Kotak) came disfigured (not properly flat, more like the shape of a potato Chips), I kept the card in between heavy books for 2 days, but still not properly flat as shoud be. Shoud I ask for a replacement in this case ? Will the card details change (including LTF) ?

The LTF wont change but they may ask you to pay what I did was I just blocked the card after 3-4 days SBI called me and said why you havent applied for replacement we will give you free replacement
