And can I still earn points after i cross the 10k points threshold? I mean without the multiplier I’m getting 2k points. Monthly limit for SBI is 10k points afaik!
So can I still continue to pay bills using Sbi Dc and get the normal 1x points until I earn the balance 8k points?
Or is it like once overall 10k points is achieved in a month then their capping kicks in?

That's exactly what will happen: 1X + 4X. Otherwise, we will exceed the 1000 point limit per transaction.

Here’s a simple calculation for the physical DC:

Note: Do not exceed ₹20,000 in a single transaction. I repeat, do not exceed this limit, else you will lose your accelerated points.

Example: If your credit card bill is around ₹38,000:

- Pay ₹20,000 in the first transaction, then make another transaction of ₹18,000.

How many points will you earn?
Let’s break it down step by step:

- ₹20,000 will give you 200 points (1X) + 800 points (4X) = 1000 points (5X)

- ₹18,000 will give you 180 points (1X) + 720 points (4X) = 900 points (5X)

Total: 1000 + 900 = 1900 points, which has a cash value of ₹475 (1.25% of ₹38,000).

Is there any maximum limit?
The maximum limit is 10,000 points under this campaign, so you can make 10 transactions of ₹20,000 each.

Bhai I updated your calculation in first post.

Also when I did 25Kx2, offer was not there in morning. Now I will continue with 20K. 25K will give 250 + 250 Pts as VDC was used. Who knows they later credit 1000 itself as 4X bonus. So the per txn 1000 isn't clear till now whether it is Normal only pts or all Normal+Accelrated pts. We have to wait now as Sep offer pts are to be credited by 31st Oct only.

VDC users should not half their spends because I was just going through and we all know with VDC it is 1X Normal + 1X Bonus and 5X multplier is for Normal Points only. So if anyone uses VDC for Rs.10K only txn thinking they will get 200+800 then it is wrong. All they will get is 100 Normal Pts + 100 Bonus + Next Month 4X i.e 400 of Normal Pts. Total= 600. So VDC ones do minimum Rs.16600 to get 166 Normal + 166 Bonus + 4X of Normal= 666 later totalling 996.

For Bday month holders of SBI DC, it is not much confusing as every points given during the month is doubled whether it is normal or bonus.

Still the confusion prevails as 1000 pts max. per txn applicable only to normal pts or all including accelrated and other bonuses.

Short answer: Yes, you will get rest 8k points at 1x rate.

Well that will remain as a mystery, good thing is we have 3 more days in November. So, if things goes south we have 3 days to fix it.

At this moment, we are at least safe with the minimum calculation. I still believe, 5x is 1x + 4x, but yea I get your point.

16600 theory will get wrong if sbi considers bonus of VDC as normal 🫠

In September i paid CC Bill in parts ₹3000,₹2000,₹2000,₹2000 using SBI Virtual card but didn't get reward points accordingly
For ₹3000 got 60 points but for ₹2000 got only 20 points also didn't get Activation Bonus

Were you using a RuPay virtual card? And where did you use it? I mean, on which portal?

Also you made your transactions after the campaign period, which was from 5th September to 20th September.

Since your transactions made after the 20th, there is no way for you to earn accelerated points. However, you should have received more base points since you were using a virtual DC

I need to pay ₹30600 CC bill (₹5200 SBI and ₹25400 AXIS) what would be the best way to pay so this time all rewards points are credited successfully

If you have the physical DC, use that please.

Pay like this: 5200 SBI + 20000 Axis + 5400 Axis

This will be best case scenario for you.

Yes. 6X.

But not always the extra 1X Bonus comes. For me, last month itself, 7-8 txns didn't fetched bonus. So it is hit and miss case no matter whether you have VISA/Master or RuPay virtual card. It all depending on Loylty which is taking care of Rewards for many banks. SBI has nothing to do with it. SBI/BoI/Canara and many others all have same Rewards partner i.e Loylty.

I always get virtual 2X reward points within 3 to 5 days of transaction

You can wait. For some of my txns bonus came after 10 days while for same day, some txn bonus were credited in 2-3 days. 🙂
