Revaluation SBI Virtual Debit Card is giving 2x Reward Points - Query & Discussion

Sbi is giving 2x reward points for virtual card as they have described in their web site.
They are also giving birthday bonus(2x).
They are going crazy,I am unable to track😂

I was using on mobikwik, but not getting points, now I closed it.

Mobikwik has wallet MCC and SBI cards wither physical or virtual has exception for wallet MCC. You can use on Unipay, Setu, Airtel Thanks etc oe even directly at billdesk.

SBI dc are notorious for blocking if we attempt after a failed transaction. If u miss their call they might block ur dc. 2 months back it happened with me.

Happened with me too. A few failed txns. Got a call from SBI txn monitoring team to try again and saying "Sorry some technical issue." After trying again, SBI debit card permanently blocked! Had to go to branch to get it re-issued which took many months for RuPay Platinum=loss of profit

Yes. Faced difficulties enabling it. Their CC team can't do either. Since then using only VDC.

You mean after you physical card got blocked, you never got a replacement? The DC gets permanently blocked upon failed txns and trying a couple of times, we can't unblock it is what I learned. Hotlist and request new one is the only way. So I got new physical RuPay Platinum but virtual Visa ones. In BBD, neither RuPay nor Mastercard were working on discount offers on Amazon or going to OTP page, only Visa was. SBI is still the same messy bank it used to be.

They reactivated it. Initially they denied the reactivation citing fraudulent transaction. When I confronted that it's my money whatever way I can pay... (merchant was pay-zap & air-tel). Who are they to block!! And the sms was as if I had requested to block. Their stupid system.
They asked me to visit branch. I didn't. Made complaint to their heads and asked them to pay me compensation for this nonsense. Then they took my written request through email and reactivated the same card. I came to know about the extra benifits of VDC during that time only.

I've been paying amex bills from sbi virtual DC on mobikwik and getting the 2x points(most of the times), but today i cannot see option to pay amex cards, anyone else facing this issue?

These days bonus points with VDC are coming for some transaction and for some it don't and will not come until you call or mail SBI Rewardz. There seems to be a big technical issue going on since December 15th, 2024.

yes, getting 2x.. i had reached them and they credited missing points.. and also they said that even if not approached, missing points would be auto credited within 7to120days of a transaction.

All the transaction has been done in mobikwik for credit card bill payments.
Effectively 0.5% cashback and 1% cashback in birthday month

Yeah no point in keeping sbi physical card better take the virtual card and go for physical card of hdfc or indusind

You don't convert your physical card to virtual, you need to generate Virtual card through YONO app or Internet Banking

Use SBI YONO App, process is easy that way, go to debit card section -> virtual debit card -> generate.

Apply SBI virtual RuPay debit card (both card will coexist Visa+ Physical RuPay).

RuPay debit card accept on more websites to pay your CC bill and get rewards like Billdesk, Freecharge, Phonepe, Canara setu etc.

You can also pay Amex and SCB CC bill via Billdesk.
