Hello Everyone,

Standard charter bank's credit card was never in my wish list, As I did many research that like SBI they will not give me LTF card without salary account.

But, Last week SC guys came in my company and was offering LTF EasyMyTrip card for Salary account. I refused and asked them to give any other card LTF. They were ready to give FYF SmartValue card with Oneplus buds. But I refused that too.

Today, I got to know in other Youtuber's Telegram channel that SC is offering LTF card, So I applied.

Today 20th March, Around 1 PM, I applied from SC bank's official website, Filled basic details, Name, address, PAN, Current and permanent address, income details, office address etc, Option was to select Income proof as Either Payslip or other bank card starement. I selected Paylsip. For identity proof Option was VoterId, Passport or driving license. I selected Driving license.

Post that application was submited and got Congratulation message that "Application with number got approved in principle".

There was document tab, So I thought they will later enable it for upload. I they never did 🙂.

Got call from customer care after 1 hour and verified my email address and mobile number and said you will receive SMS just select otp and do Ekyc. It was Aadhaar based ekyc which I did.

After 2 Hour got call from same executive and asked me for OTP. I already watched videos over YouTube So, I was aware that SC bank ask OTP for credit card application over call. So I gave that OTP to her over call and post verification she said VKYC link will come on mail and SMS.

Got VKYC link within 10 min and completed VKYC via link received on email.

Video KYC: They took my Photo, PAN original photo and need to read OTP from screen. Later he asked me many questions for confirmation: Name, Mobile number, DOB, address PIN, office address, Product you applied, Annual salary etc.

and Done.

Got SMS and emails with credit card last four digit number and other onboarding details 😍

Hope it is LTF after spending Rs. 500 within 30 days 😅

There are 3 addresses in SCB.
1. Current Residential Address
2. Permanent Address (fetched from AADHAR)
3. Office Address

You can make any of the above three addresses as you "Preferred Mailing Address"
So that way you can receive the shipments to your permanent address as well (which may be serviceable/non serviceable).

My current & permanent address is not serviceable.

And I don't have a office(unemployed).

Will try with my relatives address for 1&3. Lol

It is LTF.
But those days were hectic when we got our card approved and CS said its chargeable.
For double surity, pls. Email them and retain with you the proof that it is indeed LTF

SCB in short is "Sabse Ch**ya Bank". 💩

Try for SCB only if you will few inquiries in past 3-4 months

Ok, so all those who got card approved, is it, ltf or not, or one needs to take confirmation on mail as well, reading all the comments it is quite scary how this bank actually operates.

Take confirmation on mail always better option

I didn't give official email id. Told them i dont have one. They did office verification. You can try SC smart credit card. Approval rate is better

Mera vKYC bhi ho gaya after 2 days received mail on my office email ID to verify my designation and date of joining. I was not able to reply to that mail since it was my office email Id, so I replied to the guy with my personal email ID. It's been 2 days and no response so far, should I contact customer care?

It’s been more than a week but no response from SC yet. I received a call from a person that he needs to verify my address in Bengaluru. But I gave my Gurgaon address, Bangalore is just my office address and I said I’m doing WFH.

He said to call branch and request address verification in Gurgaon, but I’m not able to understand what’s the issue here. Can anyone tell what could be the next steps? I’m not able to talk to any SC executive as well, no number available online.

My VKYC for Smart CC was completed on 29th July, but I haven’t received any updates after that at all. I couldn’t reach their customer care, and I haven’t received a response to the mail that I dropped to customer care regarding my application status.

Is it usual for them to take this long to process the application? I thought they take 2-3 days at max.

My case is same. But When did you get confirmation email after VKYC ?
