"Second Airtel Axis Credit Card" ?? So double jackpot 🤣🤣🤣 ???

I think they are currently only issuing Mastercard variant of the Airtel card. So, maybe, if someone already has a Visa version, the system considers the new Mastercard as a different card and offers it to the customer.

I hold an Airtel Axis CC (Visa) since Nov 2022. Yesterday, while checking pre-approved card offers on Axis Mobile app, I saw the option to apply for Airtel Axis Mastercard Credit Card. I was baffled upon seeing it and thought that it could be a glitch as I already hold Airtel Axis CC.

I decided to chat with Axis Support to understand the possibility of holding the same card twice. They were clueless about it.

So, I went ahead with the application, with the thought that at most my old card will be closed or my application will not go through. But, to my surprise, I was able to submit the application and immediately received approval. Right now, I can see TWO Airtel Axis CC in Axis Mobile (Open) app.

I am curious to know if anyone else has been able to hold the same card twice from the same account/mobile number.

FYI, this will be my third Axis CC. I had two prior to applying this one -
1. Airtel Axis CC (Visa)
2. Axis Ace CC

Axis didn't give pre-approved offers for me after 3rd card. But whenever I have 1 or 2 cards, I get pre approved offers. So, as per the current policy, one customer can have 3 cards only

From my experience, you still can. I've had numerous chat conversations with them even after getting the second card. Also, I recently had to raise dispute for a transaction on my first Airtel card. I discussed it with customer support via chat and call. They investigated the issue for more than 30 days (and resolved the dispute) but still did not notice anything unusual.

At the start of every conversation about CC, customer support representative will always ask for the last 4 digits of the card, just make sure to not ask questions about both the cards in the same conversation. Reach out to them seperately for each card and you should be good.
