I have a couple of questions regarding using the SBI Cashback Credit Card and Amazon Pay Balance for large payments:
- A fellow Technofin user mentioned that Amazon Pay Balance (Gift Card) cannot be used to pay utility bills exceeding ₹15,000. If the bill amount is higher, Amazon won’t display the gift card balance as a payment option. However, today I successfully paid a bill of ₹15,029 using my gift card balance, which was my first attempt at a transaction of this size. Has there been a policy change, or was this an exception for my first transaction?
- According to Amazon’s terms, there are certain limits on how much gift card value can be purchased with a credit card within specific time frames (e.g., ₹30,000 over 30 days, ₹40,000 over 60 days, etc.). Can I bypass this restriction by purchasing through multiple Amazon accounts, or would Amazon potentially flag or block my credit card?
