Guys, I am looking for recommendation on premium savings account. I am planning to do some fds in my /father's name (10-15L) in short (6m) to medium(1.5yr) term tenure. Also looking for premium account to park few lakhs in savings.
I already have idfc ff / equitas which give decent savings rates. Equitas app is buggy and it has high downtime. idfc blocks account even for small value & volume upi transactions. So not keen on keeping high amount there. I see that bandhan & utkarsh sfb have best savings rates. If you have experience with these banks, please share it here. most fund transfer (both in & outward) will happen through my hdfc account. There will be NO cash/wallet/ betting transactions. Which would be best option in terms of liquidity? Due to work & family commitments, visiting branch , submitting documents/ applications in case of account freeze won't be viable for me. I have heard horror stories of some nris having to come back to india and submit application in person and submit itr proof to unfreeze their kotak account. This is also the main reason hdfc is my primary bank, where I can directly call bm/bom or even cluster head to take care of any issue.
I am ready to give high ip cheque to open an premium account if i get something extra in return. I was thinking of yes grandeur for marquee (without income doc). Is ltf marquee possible with high ip? Does yes first offers ltf reserv? Will it be possible for my father( retired senior citizen, no cc history, minimal credit history).? Low cl is fine. @Grandeur
Which one would be best among primea, grandeur & first interms of service, welcome benefit, reward redemption, cc offer, lower chance of future downgrade. In longterm I can keep 1L bal in each account but not 5/10L required for grandeur/first as some funds will go towards fd.
What about bob radiance? Does it still offer ltf eterna without income docs for radiance customer? Are upi spends in eterna rupay are considered for milestone benefit? Is eterna ltf status linked to radiance Tag like axis burgundy. I can keep 1-2L in savings in long term but keeping 30L makes no sense for me.
What about rbl insignia or au royal? How is their service & cc?
Indusind offering seems good but My nearest indusind branch people are pretty greedy. they denied to give any locker for 50k mab account. They were asking me 2L pa investment in some traditional plan with 1.5% return with 20yr lock in for a medium size locker. 😅 They even had the audacity to say they'll offer the locker for "free" but I have to wait few weeks. 🤣 Else I could choose to decrease the investment to 1lpa for 50% discounted locker. 🤐
Additional info:
1. I don't have very high personal spends. Most expenditure are normal day to day expenditure on grocery, ecom, fuel , offline stores, hospital/medicine. Therefore i like cards like marquee/eterna with low exception. Currently using millenia +regalia gold for most swipe/online purchase. Icici coral for upi as it is linked to my sapphiro. (Low reward but good cl, so low utilization ratio and easy to manage.)
2. I already have enough cards for bogo bms offer & lounge access. Most of my flight expenses are borne by clients. For leisure, I like to travel via train/car. So statement cashback /gold or even Amazon/croma/ reliance digital vouchers are worth more to me than inflated hotel/flight vouchers.
