2 weeks back, Got a call from HSBC to take their Platinum card. I told, I am in need of Cashback card as LTF. They denied and I disconnected the call.

Yesterday, the same person called and baited me a screenshot of a mail, where she especially requested an approval from her manager to provide cashback card as LTF .

Thanks to various posts in the group on these false practices, I thoroughly went through that screenshot and told her that no where Cashback card is mentioned as LTF 😠

She told, it will pop up in the application automatically and she again shared a screenshot of application submission, there i could see it was for platinum.

I have BLESSINGS to her and disconnected the call. These days banks are stooping so low to sell credit cards.

Cashback card is not gonna LTF for anyone.
Already that card giving tonnes of benefits, on top of that you need LTF.

Sometimes taking paid card is more beneficial, than satisfying your inner ego for an LTF one.

Take the platinum one & flip it to Cashback as and when needed. Or directly take Cashback.

I wanted to escape from them and did that. There are many posts in this group mentioned that this card is never LTF. So tried that.
