Should I close my Coral Rupay card?

I currently hold Coral Rupay card. My RM claims that I can get Sapphiro LTF but the process will involve sending the AST YES sms. I really don't want a CIBIL hit right now.
Also some members claim that if you don't have any active CC from ICICI, you can get pre approved Sapphiro.

1) Should I close my Coral to get Sapphiro LTF offer?
2) If yes, after how many days can I expect the pre approved Sapphiro offer?
3) Can I again activate my coral after getting Sapphiro?

It's my salary account and have quite decent NRV with them (didn't get any downgrade from wealth management)
I'm already in talks with RM & BM to get approval for Emerald Private but have very less hopes from them. Also some members told me that Sapphiro might trigger paid upgrade to Emerald Private card.

As you have quite decent NRV with them you can get it easily

But once you close Coral card, you can't activate the same card again. You ask for new Coral card

i dont understand why you are so afraid of cibil hits?
the whole purpose of cibil is to get enquired about your creditibility ..its how its works you take hit the score will dip and rise more than the dip.

Don't close existing coral rather convert it to rupay for upi transactions. Don't worry about cibil hit. Score improves at the same pace if it by chance falls. Also record the call where you were offered LTF Sapphiro
And what are your thoughts about closing existing cards and wait for pre-approved sapphiro.... does that work or is more of a risk

Your coral card if LTF then dont close, if its paid and you aint getting much out of the card you are paying for then close it
every card is simple rule - "You must get more from the card you pay for otherwise you must close that card"

All are LTF only....the problem is not closing any....but the fact that all upgrades are paid only in ICICI, so for better segment card the only option is to get pre-approved...which might not be easy when already having lower segment cards...there lies the dilemma....what would you suggest...or if someone is having experience

You can always apply for second better card via offline mode
if you are really invested to getting a better card then try via a BM [ negotiate with them and it will be done]

It's already Rupay Version...

I'm not afraid of it.... I just don't want to waste a CIBIL hit behind Sapphiro....
Also, @jack333 you've somewhere mentioned that people have even got Emeralde LTF pre approved at times...
How much chance do I have ???

That's exactly what's on my mind too....

What if BM is not of much help??
