Should I consider upgrading from my DCB Lifetime Free credit card to the Infinia First Year Free metal variant?

Hi,
I had requested HDFC to upgrade my (LTF) DCB card to a (LTF) Infinia, based on eligibility. However, they've offered an upgrade to the Infinia (FYF) variant instead.

Considering I already hold the Axis Atlas and SBI Cashback as (paid) credit cards, and my annual spending is around ₹8–10 lakhs, would it make sense to accept this upgrade?
Is their anything more i can do to get Infinia LTF or reduced spending limit, please help?

Detailed answer - depends on your smartbuy voucher usage it is 5x on Infinia vs 3x on DCB... do the math yourself and you will get answer. Also limit of Infinia smartbuy is higher

Other considerations - Infinia aspirations, acceptance issues on DCB etc.. This is something that you can answer yourself

Definitely yes, as i too hold DCBM & found it difficult to carry always for transaction upto 50k we can do via tap & pay but still need to carry for them

INFINIA is no brainer..the fees applied comes back in terms of points only GST need to paid..isnt it correct?

1. Do you see yourself buying gvs worth 10,000 per month on smartbuy ?
2. Are you ready to pay approximately 14500 as annual fee for not spending 10L/annum fee on infenia ?

If the answer to both question is yes upgrade to Infenia.

Additional 666 points received per month for buying GVs from smartbuy plus 12500 points received on renewal will give you additional 20000+ points against the annual fee of approx 14500.
