Strange ICICI Account Upgrade to Private Banking because of Times Black Credit Card??

here is no Private Banking Card only WM MC World DC and Wealth Select Visa Infinite(Known as Private Banking DC).

WRONG.

world mc wm, select wealth management, and private banking card. One can choose any of these (only one).

There are 3 cards. I have attached Private Banking DC photo before

I recently opened an ICICI account, but I haven't received the welcome kit yet. In internet banking, the account category is listed as SBPRV. Does anyone know which account variant this refers to? Can someone help with account codes for Wealth Management or Wealth Select accounts

Awesome, as per my understanding icici won't give Emerald FYF or LTF that easily as you have already got TBM, they usually roll out the offers by Feb/Mar end do watch out that time if you haven't received any offers before that

ICICI is generous in March month ideally, had got Sapphiro LTF in Mar'23 let's see if they give any such offers in Mar this year assuming Emerald FYF this FYE for WM and Private banking customers

Their usual timeline for the past experiences of mine is Diwali/Dusshera for LE's. So I haven't received them, may be I was reshuffling my portfolio for the past 6 months.

When you apply for a lower variant DC, you will receive that specific card. If you are a Private Banking customer and are issued the Wealth Select card, but later request the WM Mastercard World DC or WM Visa Variant, a replacement fee of ₹200 + GST will be charged, as confirmed by my Private RM. However, considering ICICI's track record, it seems unlikely that they would impose this charge.

If you already have the Wealth Select Visa Infinite card, opting for the WM Mastercard DC may not be necessary. The only additional benefit offered by the WM Mastercard DC is the complimentary golf access included with the Mastercard variant.

I specially have this information correct coz I went with the card request.

I had(still have) ICICI DC Platinum card. Then I got upgrade to Private. I didn't knew which card private get's so I just asked for a upgraded debit card for which icici gave me wealth mc world (remember I had privilege banking not private before) I never ever had wealth banking ever. Currently I am on private banking ofc.

I wasn't charged anything. So yea, once u upgrade to private banking, u can ask for wealth management mc world or wealth management select or private infinite dc.

IMP - Had a discussion today with BM then with Cluster & Regional Head.

Got to know that your account won't be upgraded to Private Variant... only service level is changed to Private because of this CC.😔😔

You won't get much benefits of Private Banking. It's for namesake only. Only DC you will get. You won't even be connected to Private Phone Banking Officer directly on calling customer care.😑😑

Please don't take this card if you don't want to pay the fees. Don't think that you are smart enough to apply and close the CC and you will get Private Banking Privileges. (only hallucination)

ICICI has played very Smartly!!🙋🙋

Moreover they were saying all those people (whoever are closing this CC) will face downgrade on Quarter end - March ( Not 100 sure on this point).
But anyone can inference eventually it will be true by seeing the previous trend in ICICI.

Let's see till when people who have cancelled TB CC will be spared. Eventually it will be done.

Thanks for your positive concern. I don’t have any SB account with them and so Private Banking is not of any use for me. Just was updating it’s still there that’s it.

My original before I upgraded was privilege banking. So I have been downgraded to the same i.e Privilege banking.

My normal account offers are back btw. preapproved loans etc are back how they were like before.

Yeah I also feel it won't get downgraded too early, it will take atleast a months or a quarters time for the downgrade
