Strange ICICI Account upgrade to private banking coz of times black card??

Internet banking is downgraded from private to my original account wealth management.

Except Private DC, we were not going to get any private banking perks anyway as it was just a cosmetic upgrade. But to be fair to ICICI, they are right in downgrading for those who canceled card without activation.

I hope they upgrade to new times black card owners to cosmetic private banking only after getting joining fees. They should have implemented this from beginning.

Yeah I also feel it won't get downgraded too early, it will take atleast a months or a quarters time for the downgrade

Not sure who won the game.

Surely ICICI has been a looser with this card. Couldn't motivate enough for people to continue the card.

Will close if they charge for private visa infinite debit card. I already have wealth master world debit card by default due to wealth management account.

There are no charges for Private DC until renewal, verified by CC, Private RM, and BM. If any charge appears then call CC and ask them, and they will reverse it.

Got the Normal Wealth Management Cheque Book in New Look. I don't know why they have sent me a 25 Leaves Cheque book instant of 10*2.

Over the past 2-3 months, the color has been changed from Jet Black to Orange, which is the signature color of ICICI Bank. I recently heard that ICICI Bank has started saving costs by not sending Welcome Kits to Private and Wealth Management customers upon their account upgrades. However, I received confirmation today that my Private Kit has been dispatched and is expected to arrive within the next 5 days.
Will share the process after receiving the kit. Let's see if they have sent me the proper kit or not.

Very much sure. It is the new WM Kit ( with a colour scheme upgrade)
The Box is the same, cheque book colour is diff, ( you might have also received a 'Pay-in' slip book) and the Pouch is now different. Earlier they gave a Black pouch which had Wealth Management written on it.

Already raised the query to Private RM. Another issue I am facing is unable to connect to ICICI CC via call, the call is getting disconnected on the 7th-9th second automatically. I also had the same doubt that's why waiting for clarification from the Bank's end.

Yes, all three in the new colour scheme just the number of cheques and pay-in slips is more compared to my original Kit Received last year in March.

Bro, this is not the welcome kit for private banking; it’s the updated kit for wealth banking. Only the branch manager or your private banking relationship manager (RM) can request the welcome kit for private banking. I’ve already requested the debit card and cheque book. My private banking RM is specifically assigned on Saturdays, so I will have them put in the request tomorrow. I’ll update you afterward.

Generally, branch managers avoid sending welcome kits to anyone unless it benefits them personally. Also, I found out that whenever the private banking RM or service manager is unavailable, the wealth service managers handle your queries. I verified this on Sunday. However, they lack sufficient knowledge and access regarding our accounts.

I’m learning new things about private banking, and I’ll post detailed information about this soon.

Just verify it with any ICICI banker. You will see many people will have Wealth or even lower variant account with this CODE.😑😑
If you are having PRIVATE ACCOUNT then share your screenshot else first check and do proper research instead of relying just on other person posts.

This is absolutely Wealth Management KIT. I can confirm 100% on this. Already received 2-3 different kits. You won't get Private Kit even if you raise this request with the help of BM/CH or your Private RM. There are many more things which needs to be done and this cannot be done just by phone.(Will again write on this point next week.)

I have already gone through all this and after that only I have written. I know everyone atlast you will come to this only:

IMP - Had a discussion today with BM then with Cluster & Regional Head.

Got to know that your account won't be upgraded to Private Variant... only service level is changed to Private because of this CC.😔😔

You won't get much benefits of Private Banking. It's for namesake only. Only DC you will get. You won't even be connected to Private Phone Banking Officer directly on calling customer care.😑😑

Please don't take this card if you don't want to pay the fees. Don't think that you are smart enough to apply and close the CC and you will get Private Banking Privileges. (only hallucination)

ICICI has played very Smartly!!🙋🙋

Moreover they were saying all those people (whoever are closing this CC) will face downgrade on Quarter end - March ( Not 100 sure on this point).
But anyone can inference eventually it will be true by seeing the previous trend in ICICI.

Are you sure "cheques of Private being issued" - on this point??

The answer is BIG NO. No one will get Private Cheque Book as Cheque is account related. DC anyone can get even without account status ( like Platinum DC in HDFC offered to various account/program type). None of the members have got Private Cheques.😤😤
