I would like share mine and my brother's Infinia success stories.

Myself:

Profile - Bengaluru. Got card via my Corporate RM in Chennai.

Salary - Around 20 Lakhs
CIBIL score - 800

Spent 8 Lakhs on my 5 year old Regalia (limit 4 Lakhs) in last 6 months. No other premium cards. Regalia was the best I had.

Took 2 Cr Term Insurance for myself and wife.

As promised, my RM got me the card. Took around 3 months, but I am happy.

My Brother:

Profile (Hyderabad):
Salary - Around 30 Lakhs
No Premium cards, best is AMEX Platinum Travel CC - Limit around 6.5 lakhs.
Didn't apply via C4C or C2C.
No relationship with HDFC not even savings account.
Reached out to certain Branches, everybody denied.
Just wrote an email to Priority Redressal and they approved on priority.
Took Docs on 26th Jan'24 approved 9th Feb'24.

I think he is talking about buying agv through smartbuy every month not reward redemption.
The savings he will make from agv will offset the af.
I am talking about a pessimistic case of everything thru AGV. At max i can buy 3.6Lakh worth and still be slapped by annual fee. Annual fee gives effectively 0.5 INR reward thru AGV.

3.6 L AGV will give you ~ 50k points ( assuming 20k agv + 10k asv) per month.. less 12.5 k fees nett. ~ 36k value post gst.. approx calcs only..

AFAIK AGV is effectively 6.9%. May or may not be buying ASV worth 1Lakh.
Not so lucrative which can be achieved thru SBI CB and HDFC millenia.
How did you get this 6.9% figure? You get 16.5% cashback on buying ASV and that cashback is redeemed at 1:1 for flights, hotels, Apple products or can be transferred to airline partners. Booking a hotel gets you a phenomenal 33% cashback.

dont take otherwise

Itna bada card bhi nhi h ki success stroies bana rahe ho or us pr thread bhi

card h amart kalsh nhi h
So tomorrow, if you buy an apartment you are proud of, someone else who already owns 5 homes can say the same. Similarly, if someone buys a new car for the first time, a person with several expensive vehicles should laugh at him? It is indeed an achievement for the person and he has every right to be happy. I can buy almost any vehicle in cash tomorrow if I want but if a guard shows me that he has purchased a used motorcycle, I am happy for him and congratulate him sincerely.

Read my earlier posts in this thread. I am only talking about AGV.

Don't say these things man. People will get heart attack.

Waiting for comments like " not possible " to roll on.
@Swastik @techt
At this point anything is possible, HDFC bank is most inconsistent when it come to chosing whom to give Infinia ,DCB ,Upgrades and Limit enhancements

Or maybe its just me ,maybe they just don't like me ,who knows

But good for OP and his brother to get their hands on the coveted infinia
