Hi,
So my current CC portfolio is something like this.

SBI Cashback - for all online spends
Amex MRCC- For wherever accepted offline/HP furl
Regalia Rupay - for UPI
Kotak White - For kotak offers/Lounge (Rarely Used)
Kotak Solitaire - New Card (Dad’s card but will be used and paid by me)
ICICI Amazon pay - Rarely used

Now the reason I am looking for a new card is because I was optimising my cards for low spends but I have realised that there is space for one more card coz expenses have increased. Amex acceptance is still sketchy in my tier-2 city and I need something else for offline spends.

Also was tilted more towards getting a core Axis card so that I can use in sales/promotions.

Banking relationship is heavily with kotak, hence the solitaire card which is kinda ok’ish, not great.

Spends are 6-8 Lacs per year. Travel cards are welcome.

PS- not eligible for Super premium like infinia, EPM. HsBC not serviceable in my city,

Thanks

Get Airtel Axis. Pretty versatile card and usually works for Axis discounts too. If travel is ur main focus then go for those Horizon/Olympus/Burgundy types

I thought of Airtel axis and horizon too. I looked at horizon and with atlas gone found it decent. But I read here on certain threads its not very good. IDK what I’m missing.

Most people find Horizon boring because they r comparing it with Atlas. Otherwise it is a decent card at just Rs.3000. If u prefer travel benefits over lifestyle benefits then Horizon is good. If converse then go for Axis select as u can get BOGO offers and bigbasket/swiggy discounts. At 3000 fees even Mariott bonvoy seems good but then u will be trapped in the Mariott/ Diners club ecosystem

No Annual Fee Waiver for Horizon.
Exclusions, no 5 EDGE Miles for Hotel bookings.
First Impression - no welcome kit nothing.
Not many offers.

Applied Horizon, decided not to activate because disappointed for few reasons, so applied HSBC T1.

Rest all good including renewal benefit.

Yes if ur pincode allows u to get HSBC cards then no point taking Horizon. For many people (like me) HSBC/Amex is non serviceable. So Axis/HDFC cards r the only options left

Redemption as statement credit? and redemption fee.?
No statement credit you can book tickets for your travels like visa, bus, flight and train. I have redeemed for bus tickets, it is useless for train redemption since it is asking some kind of redemption fees
