SUGGESTION FOR PHONE 13-19K

1-- Want a good processor ( which lasts atleast 3-4 year with no lags)

2- decent camera
3- some updates & compact size

Saw moto g85 , samsung m35 .

Moto is compact and light weight but I heard lot of bad about moto update policy
Check out Realme Narzo 70 5g for 13k
& Realme Narzo 70 pro (8gb 256gb) with Sony Ai camera at just 16250 in Amazon .

you can get poco x6 pro in bbd sale, processor will easily last 3-4 years.

Bhai don't go with poco/realme/Xiaomi/redmi. Nothing phone 2a is excellent with the software experience. In the long run, this is what matters. Moto and Nothing will give you stock android experience.

I've S23 and will replace it with OnePlus 13. Samsung has shit load of bloatware which I don't need. On top of it, doesn't matter whichever storage variant you buy, samsung OS/Apps will eat a minimum of 15% of your storage.

Ignore moto
I took some model last year and trust me sold it off under 3 months and upgraded to nothing phone.

2 major problems with moto is software update policy and the pOled screen.

Samsung is a good choice, however I usually feel that these low budget models start slowing down in few months itself.

However Samsung still beats Moto any other day

Realme and redmi phones are value for money .
They will not disappoint for atleast two year of usage .

I'm done with redmi/realme. I'm ready to spend a little more but won't settle with crappy android experience. I've bought Nothing Phone 2a for my mum replacing her Poco phone. Managed to get it for 16.5K during last sale + phone exchange discount.

No to OnePlus after green line issue
OnePlus Green Line issue was a short time issue and they promptly attended all phones that faced this. Even high end Samsung Galaxy phones like S21 series and S22 Series including Ultras faced this issue.

Infact I had one S21 FE that developed Green line after 1.5 years of usage but Samsung replaced it's display for free.
Oneplus offered same service for affected models.

Oneplus pricing, of late has bee atrocious. However, they are returning to their earlier flagship killer ways. Oneplus nord 4 is an excellent model with SD 7+ Gen 3 processor ( much much better than 7s gen 3 and better than 7 gen 3). However pricing is around 27k during sales which is above what you are willing to spend.

Samsung M series phones are infamous for motherboard failures, I have at least 3 in my family that faced this issue. However even this has improved a lot lately. So, Samsung M35 is a solid choice for your budget.

One Plus Nord 4 CE lite is a good option. Has Snapdragon 7 . Currently MRP 24,999 plus 3k discount on ICICI cards

Don’t go for moto as their software support is not promising…

Go for m35 , 8gb , 128 gb model during GIF,
It will definitely last for 3 to 4 years..
My android phone is m33 5G that I am going to replace with m35 5G 8gb , 128 gb model , most likely .
We will get it for around 17K during GIF

Another contender for me is: GT 6T.. but at this stage I am leaning towards M35 .
M series with their low-end Exynos is a deal breaker. My relative's M31 faced bootloops and needed to replace the board. It is a well known issue of Samsung Exynos in low & mid-range phones.

But my brother used M 31 for 2 years it and it went well..
I am using M 33 for the last wo years and it is going great..

I understand that Exynos is not a good processor..
WHat I like about Samsung M serie phone are:
1) Very good quality Pirctures. skin tone will be really nice , bright and real life looking
2) Excellent battery life

but I dont like the laggy performance on my M 33 , My m33 is having 6GB with Exynos 1280..

I am hoping Exynos 1380 coupled with 8GB might solve my problem of laggy performance in using mulitple banking apps.. but not 100% sure..

I dont use this for any gaming or high intesnive programs.

You can google the Samsung M series motherboard issues. It is a well known issue and affects many users after using the device for 1.5-2 years.

okay.. because I am refrshing every 2 years, I didn't see any issues..
see, another problem is every phone has some issue that is consistent , when we search on the internet.

like green line issue for Oneplus, software update issues for Moto, some other for some other phones like realme , poco whatever whatever..

It is increasingly getting difficult to choose the right phone evern though we have so many to choose from..

that is why I stopped looking at them online and confine myslef to what features I need and what are the probable 2 or 3 phones with some good history behind the those brands and refresh them every 2 to 3 years and not to spend heaps on them as I want to refresh them every 2 to 3 years ., except for my iPhone which I use it for 4 years ( buying one year previous model ,everytime)..

these are my general guilines I follow..

thanks for your inputs though...

Note: when we go deep into any phone and research , we are getting some deal breaker in one of the things we are looking to have.. extremely frustrating..
and add to woes most of these are Chinese brands...

It's a great strategy. Here are my preferences. I have bought an S series for my parents and I myself use Motorola. Motorola lags behind in providing timely Major Android updates, however security updates do come once every 2 months, which works for me. I like the Clean Android experience & it comes with a lightweight form factor.

I prefer these two brands because they have separate security chips in their SOC to deal with added protection: Knox for Samsung and ThinkShield for Motorola.

We can ignore the green line issues of the displays at this point as they are not brand or device specific and are spread across the industry.

I look for other features and my requirements at the time of buying only, no pre-made checklists.
