Suggestions Regarding HDFC Credit Card Upgrade.

I have been a customer of HDFC Bank for more than 8 years and I used to have Freedom CC from the bank which I closed almost a year after I got it because I didn’t have much knowledge of having credit cards but as I became aware of CC benefits I applied for the card again but the HDFC Bank declined my applications for almost 3 years.
But 1.5 years ago I applied again and for my surprise HDFC approved the application with the initial limit of only 10K but I was OK with that and after a year of use they increased the limit to 75K, it was HDFC IOCL Card.
Now during the BBD sale I tried to use the card on Flipkart for 10% instant discount but Flipkart said the card is not eligible for discount and I should talk to the bank which I did and the bank put the blame on Flipkart so I thought maybe it’s a co-branded card that might be the reason so I thought of getting it upgraded to a core HDFC Card and talked to the HDFC CS but as usual they were clueless and asked me to write an email to Credit Card department so I wrote the email but they said this card cannot be upgraded to any other card.
So without getting disappointed I wrote an email to their PNO and explained everything, they asked me to wait for a week so they can investigate and after a week they said they can’t give me an upgrade and I should visit my branch and talk to RM so I did that too but again nothing.
I am writing it here so if anyone from the community has any lead or a way to help me get the card switched/upgraded to any HDFC core card, please let me know.

I followed same process, wrote to credit support -> head card services -> next level PNO..

But did that multiple times with a gap of 2 or 3 months, start fresh mail. Each time explained my experience with bank, usage on their card and how its beneficial to get new card for our spends.

Compared to me you have 8 years with bank, can try hard and do that.

Easy method: Download upgrade form, tick the card based on your eligibility, attach with your income and put in dropbox/sent to chennai.

Alternative method: Try fresh mail and escalate till PNO.

Quick method: Can approach bank and do their needful to get the desired card (never tried, but saw many posts)

HDFC has sent an email to almost every user for a free lifetime CC card that has HDFC Swiggy, neo Plus and Milliania CC. You can try that and see if you have eligibility for any of their card. I am getting eligibility for all 3 but not going to use it as I am targeting for infinia. Currently I hold Regalia and got an upgrade of regalia Gold.
