Here's sample example (to those who need):

you want ₹300 cashback from the 3% category, then:

How much to spend?​

• Earn ₹300 at 1% → you must spend ₹30,000
• Earn ₹300 at 3% → you must spend ₹10,000

Total spend​

₹30,000 + ₹10,000 = ₹40,000

Total cashback​

₹300 + ₹300 = ₹600

Effective cashback rate​

₹600 back on ₹40,000 spent → 1.5% net

What if other learns from this? If Infinia says, accelerated rewards can't be more than total base rewards.

Axis has come up with a very dangerous idea. I don't want to give any new ideas but there is high probability they will try to apply similar terms for their other cashback cards. currently we use different cards for different purposes which ever gives max benefit. if other banks start copying this idea then everyone has to be back using only 1 or 2 cards for all their purchases

its actually simple for any of them, the concept is what everyone thinking as dangerous w.r.t. other cards.

even i am not getting cashback on eligible category also, while doing payment on supermoney app its shows 3% cashback , but when bill is generated , no cashback is provided, and customer care is not providing the reason for no cashback, just automated answers.
