That looks like some temporary glitch. For redeeming you can use any mobile number, it need not be the same number registered with your card. So wrong mobile number error doesn't make any sense.

Some banks have card control options via IVR. Try it for your cards. You may have to contact customer care to get the phone number to call for card controls IVR.

It is just issued to activate account if opened online.
